I came over an hour before closing service Dept and they wouldn’t do my first oil change due to nobody is available and gone home. The last hour is for customers to pick up their card! Also I had a bad tire too.
They need to post that and also they should get up and go outside to the customer when pulled up to the service Dept. and after customer has to get out of the car and walk inside they should acknowledge the customer immediately and not to continue with personal conversations!

The only reason we chose to have our work truck serviced here is convenience as it is very close to our Business location. We have had our service truck in and out of this dealership for more than a month because the truck would not start and the gear shifter would lock in Park position. They have removed and replaced the entire dashboard to replace the ("GAGES???), replaced the safety neutral switch and we took the truck back after paying the bill, then it happened again. We take it back and they have the truck for more than a week, no calls nothing. We come back to the dealership and the service department shows no progress and really do not seem to care that without this truck in our fleet we lose money and we have to send employees home . We will be returning to Cerritos Ford for future service.

He show us around the dealership and took us to the other side which we found the vehicle we like he took us for a test drive and we really like the vehicle. I am giving him a 5 star because his customer service was outstanding and help us with the option works out and fit in with my budget. I transport cars an took myg truck in for service an that was on a Thursday an it's Tuesday an I still don't have my truck or they didn't give me a loaner so I been out here in L.A. without transportation not to mention I cant even go to work!

DON'T BUY CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED - MarkT
DO NOT buy a certified pre-owned from AutoNation Ford Torrance (AFT). I purchased a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2016 Ford Explorer w/ 2,800 miles on 1/23/18. Unfortunately for me, and not surprisingly being an LA resident, I didn’t get the car up to highway speeds until after my 5-day return period. About two weeks after purchase, I got my car on the highway and once I got north of about 65 mph the car starting making a horrible noise. I was upset, thinking how could this car have been certified and supposedly “Worry Free” with such a horrific sound? After bringing the car in and asking questions, I was told that AFT does not drive their used cars on the highway before tagging them as Certified Pre-Owned. What?! How can this be? There should be a disclaimer, “Only certified and worry free for issues that arise at 45 mph or less.” Since then, AFT has had my car for a total of 18 days over two periods, and today the car was returned to me, WITHOUT A FIX. I, like any other consumer that purchases a defective product, want my money back. NOPE. AFT was willing to talk to me about trading my car and getting into another one, however once I demanded my money back, I got the “I can’t help you with that” treatment from several people. I’ve been told I have to open a case with Ford Motor Company in order to get them to buy my car back. I can’t wait to see how long and painful this process is. Shameful business practice at AFT. Bought a new 2014 Ford Fusion on Black Friday. Lyndon and Justin in the sales department did an excellent job and I cannot enough good things about them. I negotiated a great deal on the vehicle. When I got to the finance department I put a small amount on a credit card and the rest in a personal check. I trusted that Tim in the financial department who works with numbers all the time was giving me a final amount that I needed to write the check for which was accurate. He overcharged me by $950.00!! I only discovered the "mistake" or overcharge the next day when I slowly went over the contract with a calculator. I called him that night but he was busy with another customer and told me to call back the next day. When I did, he did not act surprised or concerned but agreed to refund the money immediately. Almost as though he knew about the miscalculation. I expected him to tell me he wanted to go over the contract again to make sure there were no other errors but he did not. The next day I called Jim Buerge (the owner of the dealership). He did apologize, but did not seem to concerned and stated "mistakes do happen and we sold a lot of cars that day" ( on Black Friday 2013). I wonder if he would have been so forgiving if his finance man had made the error in my favor?? If you decide to buy from this dealership watch out for what I believe was bait and switch game. Give a great sales price and then stick it to them in the final contract. I highly recommend you slowly go over the final contract line by line with your own calculator to make sure all of the numbers are correct. I will not be taking my new Ford to Buerge Ford for service and will not recommend any one do business with them. The Fusion is a great car...just make sure you find an honest and reliable dealership who will not attempt to rip you off.

Brought my van in for service in Oct., did not get in back until Nov., 28 days and 3200.00 later. The main problem I brought it in for was not fixed. Still had a very strong gas smell coming from the engine. They said they never smelled it??!!. When I got it back 28 days later, the check engine light was on. This was never on before. Overheated on the way home, had to turn around and bring it back again!!! They said they had hoses on backwards. Brought it back twice more after that for the check engine light. They just kept resetting the light. They said they put in onto the computer as I requested and paid for, but said nothing came up. Car sat for 4 months after this until I could afford another opinion. Was late on my registration and smog. Finally was able to take it into KEN GRODY FORD in Buena Park. Found them on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website, they had no claims filed against them whereas Sunset Ford has had 28 claims filed against them in the past 14 months!!! Wish I would have known about the website before. Ken Grody Ford was awesome, worked with a guy named Tim there as well. He was great!!! Within 1 hour he called me and said they knew what was wrong. Said it came up on the computer right away. It needed new fuel lines and a new fuel sensor. They also replaced my battery. 1 day and 1300.00 later, problem was fixed and runs great now. Great gas mileage again and no gas smell in the car! I can run the heat and a/c again without my kids passing out. Passed smog on the way home!! Stay away from Sunset Ford!!!! They are incompetent liars!! Trying to get money back now. Tried to speak with Service Manager second week they had my car, but he was an arrogant jerk and no help at all. They have a new service manager now, he seems nicer, but we'll see. Have to meet with hime about getting money back. Mechanics still suck! Ken Grody has had same mechanics for over 10 years!!! They even washed my car for me. When I picked it up, it was really shiny, even the tires were dressed. Had plastic covers on everything in my car, steering wheel, seats, and floors. Took them off for me when I went to get in. I will only deal with them from now on!!!
