Steven Ford was wonderful. Honda should have more employees just like him. He went out of his way to help me understand the differences between the two models that I was choosing and deciding on. He made perfectly sure I know the features of the car I chose. And even if he had another customer, he was very patient in answering all my questions and my worries. Took my 2016 Honda Accord to get repaired, not only did they keep the car for a couple days and charge me $2,000+ they did nothing to it. I’ve taken my vehicle to them a total of 5 times to get “fixed”. Lemon? I’ve tried talking to management and they want nothing to do with me. This has been going on for over a month I’ve been nice and as a result I’ve gotten screwed over. They’ve lost pieces of my vehicle and my hood doesn’t close properly now. Typical dealership problem, salespeople focusing on moving cars quickly and treating customer as a number rather than truly answering to what customer is looking for and cares about. Also, expect the car buying experience to be inconsistent depending on a number of factors, such as who your salesperson is, who the floor manager is at the time, and, I guess, the financial contribution of your potential purchase (personally speaking, I had different salespeople pressuring me into making a purchase, coercing me into switching a car that I don't want, making last-minute changes on out-the-door price, etc.). Last but not least, don't fall for any pre-deal promises by the salesperson and don't hope for any friendly, helpful, and quality after-sale services, especially from the salesperson, unless you are bringing in more financial incentives (aka sales). With all that said, their non-sales staff are much more courteous, patient, and willing to help.
Now, if you're okay with everything just mentioned, feel free to give this place a shot as they seem to know their reputation and relatively poor positioning (especially when better dealers are super nearby) and you may be able to take advantage of that in the buying process.

bought a used SUV from them, they promised in writing that they would fix a rip on leather seat as a condition for me buying it. Waited months, got the run around with “oh they don’t work here anymore, let me help you schedule it again” excuse, then finally got notified to bring SUV in and when I did I Had thought wrong, wasn’t to repair seat it was a checkup kinda thing. Told me “sorry for the confusion” They changed the oil and checked the brakes, etc.. at no cost to say sorry. ok, whatever.. a few days after getting home my brakes started squealing, took to local shop and what do you know, brakes are worn out! Ok, what else did they half arse.. So checked oil, it was NEVER changed!! Holy cow the incompetence. Called and got the ol “so and so is in a meeting and will call you back” every time I called to talk to service manager. Then started looking though my paperwork as I’m thinking of taking them to court, and I didn’t have a copy where I had them write the agreement for the seat repairs, plus no copy of the Carfax report was included either! Turns out salesman never put it in my paperwork because I truly believe he was upset I didn’t go for any of the extra add ones they try to stick you with when you finalizing the deal. Called their corporate and left messages but again no call back. So just sick of dealing with these people and wouldn’t let them touch my SUV now if they were the last dealership on earth. And Victoria is some name they insist on using as someone I worked with over there. Can’t erase it on here as I have no clue who this person is. Don’t recall who I worked with as apparently it doesn’t matter anyways cause the employees are never there for very long. I think they are rotated between dealerships so when they screw you over than can just say “oh, I’m sorry so and so doesn’t work here anymore, We can’t help you.”

Tim S, the manager, worked with us in getting the clean fuel reward for the Honda Clarity and was really responsive. Miguel took us on a test drive and was knowledgeable on the car to point out the features. The buying process was smooth as well.

Saw a used Honda Civic on their website, and in 1 day I drove off the lot! Service was absolutely fantastic. Mario Castillo walked me through the entire process as this was my first time buying a car. He was knowledgeable on all of the features my car came with and very personable. Once it came time to go into the finance office, I was taken care of by Vince Coronel. He was fantastic! He explained everything that I was signing multiple times for me and made sure I felt comfortable during the whole process. Both gentleman walked me out to my new car and made sure I was all set up with everything so needed. I cannot recommend Ocean Honda of Whittier enough.

Bad business, stay away, they leased me a faulty vehicle which I pointed out the issue the day of the purchase( 4 days ago), took it to the dealership garage to fix they said it may take 2-3 days, I tried sorting it out with the sales team , they pretty much said the deal is done and it’s my problem now.
Instead of enjoying our brand new vehicle, I’m wasting my time trying to solve issues because of this dealership’s incompetence of conducting ethical business.

I filled out a credit application online and spoke with Edwardo as a salesman to purchase a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid from out of state. First, he told me I would have to come into the dealership to purchase. I told him I have purchase my last three vehicles from out of state. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one would call me back. A week later, and I still have not received a call.
I followed up today to be told the same thing; a manager would call me back. I stated I didn’t want to wait another week. I was put on hold and then told I would need a 800 score to finance a vehicle. I am already pre-approved at two other dealers, this dealership just had better pricing.
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with when buying a vehicle.

i have a current lease which is going to end on dec 2021 i received a buy back offer on my honda civic giving me 10% more than kbb and lowest value on kbb was $15500 plus 10% $17500 valance on current lease was 14200 after taking that leaving me with $3300 to move to another lease special i had received by mail which was a honda crv ex $199 a moth and $2088 due at lease plus tax license and fees i thought wrong getting the lowest trade in on my honda did not leave anything left i show them the offer received asking them about the 110% trade in value manager got out of the office saying that that was not going to happen getting 110% saying there is no way we can make a deal it was my second car that i lease here so i went to norm reeves honda they honored what i suppose to get from car max it was $443 more than what i was getting from Harding honda received better service there

I used TrueCar and was given an offer to buy a 2021 Civic which I accepted. A dealership rep contacted me, I sent him photos of the TrueCar offer, and he set me up with an appointment. When I got to the Dealership, the rep I talked to on the phone and the Sales Manager said the online price was a mistake on their part and would not honor it. They offered to sell me the car but for $7,000 more! I found this to be unacceptable and was very angry they wasted over 3 hours of my time. A complaint was filed with Honda USA and TrueCar. This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. I usually dread visiting car lots and being chased around by dealers, or even worse being ignored because I'm not dressed sharp enough! (I'm talking about you cerritos nissan!) Well this was much different, we got to browse the cars on our own and when we were ready, we were warmly greeted by Frank, our salesman. He pointed out all the great features on the Civic we were considering and then we took it on a test drive. He never tried to talk us into a more expensive model, or adding a bunch of extras, he just let us get the model we wanted and gave us a great price we couldn't refuse. When it came to the paper work, it was smooth sailing and their financing even beat our credit unions interest rate. We were then sent to Art who patiently explained our contracts and additional warranty coverage, and got to watch us sign all of our official documents. He never made us feel like big idiots if we didn't consider additional coverage. (I'm talking to you again cerritos nissan!) We were also congratulated many times by various sales people, including Richard the sales manager. This is a dealership who knows the Honda name sales itself and won't try to pressure you in any way. Therefore I highly recommend Community Honda of Whittier! You rock!!!
