Annual Maintenance Service - patc624
Courteous, professional and accommodating service made for a pleasant appointment. My low mileage Tiguan needed special accommodations on scheduled actions to be taken. All necessary work was completed satisfactorily. I left the dealership feeling safe and confident in my VW Tiguan’s continued excellent performance.

Service you can trust - jazhiel
I highly recommend Southbay VW, specifically the service adviser Ricardo Sanchez. One thing that's hard to find in a service shop or dealership is honesty, but with Ricardo honesty is his policy and he's build a reputation for integrity.
I've been coming here for oil changes, repairs, and auto body repairs. Ricardo has been very attentive and does everything he can to help me out. I really appreciate that he makes sure to call or text me with the progress on my car. I will definitely bring my vehicle back to Ricardo at Southbay Volkswagen as long as he keeps working there. No question about that. Ricardo is extremely professional and knowledgeable.
Disappointed - Johng
On March 2nd I took my daughters Beetle in for a brake fluid flush. I noticed that evening when I got home some residue on the headlight and bumper of the car. Took some pictures and sent to the service manager for him to see that they spilled some brake fluid on the vehicle and it damaged the paint. First they said it was battery acid then they said they didnt now what it was but dont think that brake fluid will damage paint, I called VW corporate and even they confirmed that brake fluid will eat paint in a matter of hours. I shocked that they refuse to take care of their mistake even after speaking with the General Manager. I took the car back to show them the damage and even have a voice mail with the service manager saying he will take care of it.
They have no idea how to do business. - Anonymous
This dealership desperately needs to hire more professional and friendly people to value their customers, unless they are doing that well that they can afford turning costumers away in less than 1/2 hour. Went to lease our 4th VW from them and was treated very unprofessional that had to leave ASAP. Will never go back there ever again.
Horrible customer service - Atlast515
Completely shocked! We were being helped by a very nice salesman who forgyot to tell us the prices are completely non negotiable. The manager who we felt is not very customer oriented and felt like he was talking down to us. The car had a crack in the windshield which had spider legs all round it and he said he will have them repair not replace the window. I’ve had many cracked windshields and know that this for sure will become much bigger in time. He said he would only repair it and if down the road it became bigger they would fix it. Why not just fix it??? It is a LARGE crack. We ended up leaving without the car because the manager wouldn’t hear of coming down on the price at the least.
The next day received a text from them asking if we found a car yet. I said no but If they brought the price down $500 and fixed the windshield we would come today pay cash. They declined our offer.
Later in the day my family and I talked and decided if we pay full price for the car then it shouldn’t be a problem for them to fix the crack in the windshield. We are offering FULL price.
The manager was rude and short and said NO.
I’m just very surprised that they would try to sell this car with a crack in the windshield. Anyone who would look at it can see how bad it is even our salesperson admitted it had spiderlegs that will spread. We are buying a car for my 16 year old daughter and this is a definite safety issue. Just commen sense and safety.
Very disappointed in dealership and this manager.
The original salesperson was really nice but this manager definetly tainted the whole dealership.
Josue Centella you definetly need better customer service skills. I can’t imagine the owner of this dealership would commend you for this transaction.
Not loyal to customers - Oriol Serra
Don't get fooled by the smiles and red carpet when buying a car there, because if at some point your interests as a customer do not align with their business needs they will not go the extra mile they go for when making money out of your pocket. I bought a 2014 VW Tiguan R-Line end of 2014, before the VW scandal...obviously while my car was not diesel , the VW scandal affected my car value now that i want to sell it out as i am moving out of the country. I went back recently to the dealer asking if they could re-buy my car , they declined buying the car i bought from them 2 years ago and suggested me I go to carmax as they already have enough inventory...i get it, but as they get creative to buy your used car when you are going to buy a new car from them it seems that when this is not the case their creativity gets dry and they ditch you as customer...think twice about buying with them because they will only cater to their needs and selfishness
Service history on my new beetle in this dealer: $800 to... - wkqe03a
Service history on my new beetle in this dealer:
$800 to fix airbag indicator yellow light. The light came back two weeks later and it was not under the work warrant because it was not the same problem.
$500 to replace transmission seal but still see slow leaking one month after the repair work.
More scatches on dash covers , steer wheel and door panels after each oil change (new interior became worn interior after oil changes).
Oil level extremely low (no oil on dip stick) one week after oil change at one time.
After an oil change, radio (both AM and FM) recieves no signal and make very load noise. Service advisor comment: It is normal for VW in this area, Escondido, CA. Somehow, It gets signal again four years later after a battery change in Murriata VW dealer, CA.
This car could blow up in my wife or kids face and kill them - Mike Hosley
Bought a Passat, not a Diesel, just a regular Passat with the defective airbags.
Now, a year later, I can't sell it , trade it, or get a resolution, but I know that employees of this dealership were able to take the identical car, with the identical defect, and trade that car for a brand new one.
They do a great job servicing cars, but the uneven response and program offered to employees underscores the contempt for the customers.
I wrote a detailed letter to Oscar Martinez, and afforded the dealership, and the salesman the chance to make it right, even by putting my wife into a different car at our expense- . My wife. In a year, my kid will be driving- should I let her drive the car? Would you let your kid drive the car? So it's of little use to me at all.
He quit the dealership, went to a more reputable product line but I'm the one with the worthless car, he drives a brand new Passat and was able to turn his in.
