Excellent experience - Leslie 123
We visited the dealership unexpectedly after looking at other choices. We were greeted by Seth who shared with us two cats that were what we were looking for. He was warm and pleasant with no pressure at all. We didn’t buy the car that night as we were still looking and wanting to make sure we had the best price... though he followed up several times through tex to see what our decision was. Again, very kind and wanting the sale but not pressuring us. This in turn one the business. I loved the car and who we were buying it from. Which for me is important. Thank you Seth and Nissan

Great customer service, less than perfect transaction - Cntrygynsd
I'll start this off by saying buying a car is never fun. Picking out the perfect vehicle, test driving, negotiating and then the dreaded "finance guy" at the end. It's a long, tiring, mentally taxing process leaving you excited and terrified at the end.
My experience at Temecula Nissan was decent but there were definitely snags. We'll start with my sales guy Josue. Beginning to end he was very pleasant, not high pressure, and provided incredible customer service. If I were to stop here I would give 5 stars without hesitation. Of course the car buying transaction is broken into three main parts, salesperson, vehicle and finance. This is where things become less than perfect and I want to say for the record I'm artificially weighting Josue's piece to make 4 stars. If I were weighting things evenly I'd probably say it was 3.5 stars. Why did I give him more weight? Because the vehicle was less than perfect and the after service didn't go as planned. It was Josue that made this bearable by going the extra mile. He was pleasant and accommodating throughout the entire process.
The vehicle was a slightly abused Nissan Maxima Platinum edition. Someone had smoked inside and clearly (in hindsight) didn't take terribly good care of the paint. The car was otherwise in good condition with low miles and had everything I was looking for, which is why I considered it. Josue offered to have the smoke smell and a couple door dings removed and it was written into my contract. On the day I took it in for this service I was expecting 3 hours (which is what Josue thought it would take) only to find out it needed to stay overnight. They provided me with a loaner Maxima and Josue offered to drive my Maxima back to me (45 miles away) the next day for my troubles. The car was delivered the next day as promised with 0 smoke smell, fresh and clean. Not artificially masked. Unfortunately the door dings (apparently) couldn't be removed.
There was trouble in finance (isn't there always) as they thought they would be able to get me a substantially lower interest rate so I signed the contract with that interest rate in mind. Unfortunately they weren't able to go as low as they had hoped (but lower than what I myself got pre-approved for) so Josue (again) drove the new contract down to be signed. The payment quoted was correct and without the finance guy to explain the charges I signed the agreement. They mailed my copy to me and the problem with signing paperwork away from the dealer became apparent. There was a charge for cancelation (which I signed I didn't want and wasn't present on the first contract) of $417. But, I had already signed the new agreement (my fault for not dealing directly with finance).
The car, well there has clearly been rear bumper damage (clean carfax) as there is a very dull large spot on my bumper that didn't show up when I bought the car (maybe it had a good wax job) and the paint is pretty scratched up (black car) which also didn't show up until I washed it. Most of this can be buffed out and the bumper repaired but definitely a fair amount of work for a certified used car.
Long story short, pay attention to every detail with this dealer. My experience could have been isolated but just food for thought. I will say this, they were very pleasant to deal with and they did do (most) of what they promised.
Josue 6 stars, car 3 stars, finance 3 stars.

Trade-In Car Made Easy! - rxo97
My mum and I received a call from the dealership on trading in our then Versa Note for a newer updated car for 0% interest, made an appointment within the next hour and were greeted by Jorge Rodriguez! He was very descriptive, patient, understanding, and positive on helping my mum and I on trading in the car for a newer one! For sales, Chris Vera helped out all throughout the process and guided us onto a newer car also! We did all the necessary paperwork and the next day, we received our Rogue Sport! It was heartbreaking leaving the old car, but it was worth for a newer one!! Hands down, the best team of people at this location!

Deceptive Downey Nissan - CA Steve
Buyer beware! Downy Nissan, either put them way down on your shopping list or better yet
scratch them off all together.. Review comes from someone that first of all is brutally honest!
Sees black and white and no in between, no gray areas here, has a warm honest heart and
likes to think that so do others! THEY DON’T!!! Not by any stretch of the imagination!
We like to think the humidity is progressing in the right direction, with that thought in mind I
tried really hard to shake off the stereo type view, mentality/image of a car salesperson of the
70’s,80’s,90’s etc... Christ forgive me for being naive and wrong! They are alive and well!!! Shame on me for putting trust and letting my guard down with the folks/snakes at Downey Nissan...
I’m a humble Midwestern boy with old school morals and values that’s been saving, planning to purchase a Nissan GT-R for about four years now, due to work, family, life, limited time etc...the internet was the tool of choice in my search.
Downey Nissan was offering one of these vehicles, falsely advertised (MINT) used 2018 with
1800 miles which caught my eye. I say falsely advertised for couple different reasons, first of all
the car was far from MINT!!! (definition of MINT; denotes the quality of a pre-owned good
as displaying no imperfections and being in pristine condition relative to its original production
state) I was assured over and over and over again that the car was flawless the original buyer was a regular, only had the car for a month and returned it do to a financial situation the car was mint don’t worry I was told again and again!!! also the dealer wanted almost $3000 on top of the advertised asking price for so-called dealer added options! I should have turned away right there and then!
Once again I went against my better judgment and did not follow my gut instinct, site on
seen (note to self and everyone else never ever, ever buy a vehicle unseen and trust car sales
person! A specially when it comes to used)!
After couple weeks of negotiating we agreed on a price $1900 above the asking price for a so called mint condition vehicle. Upon completion of all necessary paperwork/down payment
etc...I made arrangements to have my (MINT) dream vehicle transported to its new home. Did I
mention that I’m brutally honest and was told over and over and over again that this vehicle
was mint! I think I did lol... I was told that the vehicle went thru their vigorous inspection and everything checked out A OK!!! Christ I even received a few photographs/video that were cleverly taken from a distance where any imperfections would be virtually impossible to see! I will make sure to mention this vigorous inspection to the BBB!
Few days later the vehicle shows up in my driveway, smiling driver congratulates me while
he hands me transportation sheet and wants to go over with me with all the imperfections of
the vehicle! Says your aware of these sir correct? As one can imagine I stood there shocked at
what I was looking at, I signed his paperwork and got him on his way not his problem while I
tried to collect my thoughts while my anger was growing by the second.
There were nine imperfections on the trip sheet of my so-called MINT vehicle after taking a
close look I found around dozen of them including a curb rash on the right rear wheel which the
dealer painted in attempt to fix and cover-up, yet somehow failed to find in the vigorous inspection!
Obviously I contacted the dealer angry and disgusted looking for answers, after some finger pointing I was told that they were going to do whatever it takes to make things right and make sure I was happy! For starters had they been honest like I was and not lied we wouldn’t have to do anything to make me happy, after all I got my dream car right!
I’m trying to see things from their perspective, what was their thinking process was I not
going to see all these things?! Seriously were talking about 100 K car here and regardless of the
price even more importantly we’re talking about principles, honesty, integrity which the folks at Downey Nissan have none what so ever! Blatant liars!
I thought about keeping the vehicle since in my thoughts they are offering to make things right, so I shipped it to a local Nissan dealer to have a thorough pre-buy inspection to make sure there aren’t any other issues with it mechanical etc…something I should have done in first place! Once again shame on me! Local dealer did not find any mechanical problems with the vehicle but were shocked that I was not made aware of all the cosmetic damages? Shame on me once again for being honest and trustworthy.
Downey Nissan to make things right offered me new rear wheel and $1000 towards any repairs needed, at first I thought to myself that’s fair I guess i though about excepting it. After contacting the local dealer to see how much it would cost to bring the vehicle in the so-called mint condition! The gentleman screeched his face and told me sir to bring the vehicle in mint condition you’re looking at somewhere between $4000 to $6000 maybe more!
At that point I was done I insisted to return the vehicle, Downey Nissan agreed to take it back,
why wouldn’t they, they blatantly lied about the condition but asked that I pay the
transportation fees. I asked that they cover at least one away transportation since none of this
would be taking place had they not lied, mislead and been honest with me in first place!
Breakdown of my $3000 lesson courtesy of Downey Nissan; transport each way $1200 total $2400, transport from my home to local dealer $200 each way $400 total, inspection $150 plus time, frustration anxiety etc…
Im sure we all know or may guess the answer to that request!
The answer was NO “we cannot compensate transport. Normal dealers do not reverse sales of
sold vehicles. Happy Holidays”
Seriously do normal dealers blatantly lie as well?! Downey Nissan does!!! Will pray for them.
Buyer beware do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere! One would like to think that there is some good out there and that there are some dealers that are honest and have some honesty and integrity!!!
Sincerely Captain Steve
Beware: false add and hidden cost - yjang
Expect more than 1k additional price when you buy a car from this dealer. They shamelessly charge unwanted accessories, which they do not include in the add. Terrible way of doing business. A popular way of deceiving customers in 80s.
problems with radio/audio - nando1949
We had a very good experience at this Nissan location. Jeff Morgan was very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family. Thank you.
Not treated good - Jag
I had a very bad experience with the sales person Brian. He treated us very badly. They themselves called for trade-in , so I went there since anyway i need to give my car for general service and also have a plan to change my car. After going there they didn’t say the trade in value first , they want me choose new/used car then only they can tell trade in value for my car. After spending 1hrs they said they can give only $3000 for my Nissan Altima 2010 ,77k miles. We thought value is less and said the same to sale manager Brian . He came became rude and he spoke we came to waste their time and worthless. We felt very bad at moment :( . They are treating people based on dressing and ethnicity or race.
I suggest not to go here until unless you dressed good or looks good.

Mike Martinez is absolutely RUDE - jnazzal
I've been a Nissan owner for a very long time, and never in my life, I met a person so rude. This individual works at Metro Nissan of Redlands and his name is Mike Martinez. No respect for women, and tried to embarrass me for his mistake in front of the whole dealership. At least own up to your mistake like MAN. You need to be educated on how to communicate and comprehend the words that are coming out of your mouth. I hope this message reaches you, so you know exactly what you're worth.
Mr. Akim Akimi is honest and genuine. - Alk10
I wanted to let you know the other day I came into your showroom and was greeted by Mr. Akim Akimi, a sales rep. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He did not try and push us to a specific vehicle, but instead talked with us about our budget, what we expecting from the vehicle and how could the vehicle help better our lives. Even though we did not purchase a vehicle today, we will be coming back to Nissan of Escondido. Thank you Alan & Maria K
SHADY AND I WILL EXPLAIN WHY... PLEASE READ. - Newcarguy
I found a car for sale online at Orange Coast Nissan for a good deal. We confirmed general details on price, as well as trade-in over the phone and they said come down to finalize the deal. I would like to add they emailed me about the car stressing it had one prior owner, but didn't mention it had been a rental, until I checked the carfax report.
I went to the dealership and initially things went okay. They tried to backwards and forwards me between the sales guy and manager. I put my foot down and said bring out the manager (Ronnie Bostek) and let's stop wasting time. The sales guy acted like his feeling were hurt because I didn't want to play his game. Finally we reached a deal, but I had to use his 60 month financing for them to supposedly make some extra back end dollars.
I head back to finalize my deal in the office. The gentleman says they can give me a 100K service package for only one more dollar a month by improving my APR. Sounds great! They push the paperwork over to sign and they have increased the loan to 72 months and tried to sneak it by. Wait a minute... that is incredibly unethical. I immediately have them remove the $2,500 service package and move me back to 60 months. They actually implied it was my fault for not letting sales guy play his pricing game with me.
He then continues in a negative tone and then the dealer add-on car alarm magically appears for $895 extra over the price we already negotiated. I asked to have It removed from the car and they seemed extremely angry. They told me they usually charge people $1,400 for this alarm and I am getting a deal. Wow... way to be honest guys! Now they start to get really rude and the manager comes back in to bully me about taking away all of their profits. Apparently not wanting them to rip me off on the service package or alarm has made me a bad customer. I was two hours into the process and just wanted to be done, so accepted the overpriced and unnecessary alarm. We stopped talking, finalized the paperwork and I walked out to drive my car home.
Their final farewell was disclosing they only had one key for the car, so good luck with that. Thank you Orange Coast Nissan. Hopefully this review helps some other people navigate their unethical and questionable activities. I'm looking forward to hearing the feedback from their loyalty manager on this review...
Sales representative - Girldoc
I went to purchase a Nissan Leaf. Worked with a sales representative named Bill Dorrel. He was GREAT! Let me drive a few around, did not pressure me to buy. Took his tme and searched for other vehicles that matched what options I wanted. Found out they had just received one in the color and options I wanted. I purchased it that day! It was a great experience .

Great Dealership - Xterra12345
Drove up from San Diego to look at a used car. Donte had the car ready for us to see and test drive. Donte was very helpful and made the process of purchasing the car go smoothly. Would have rated the experience a 5 star, but I spent close to 6 hours at the dealership. We decided to purchase the car within 45 minutes. So, I’m not sure why there was such a delay.
It was great - Eric G
