Excellent Service...as always! - JMac
I had a minor problem with my '17 ATS-V and it was taken care of quickly and efficiently. John Melchiode, Service Manager, took a test drive with me and immediately had a mechanic work on it. The problem was determined quickly and I was out of there in an hour.
I have always had an excellent and courteous responses from Doug's Service, Sales and Parts. They are an excellent dealership and are extremely customer friendly.
I was driving my Caddy down the road when my temp.gauge... - john_smith
I was driving my Caddy down the road when my temp.gauge started to rise. I pull over and find coolant pouring out under the car. I take it to the closest Caddillac dealership which is this one.I'm not too worried because I bought the extended warranty. The car is due for an oil change so I ask them to do that while it's in. So I'm figuring $100 deuctible plus $30 for the oil change. Also my Air Bag indication has been intermittently coming on so I ask them to check that too since I purchased the high-tech option with the extended warranty(I figured the airbag was probably a loose wire to the sensor or something since it was not coming on all the time.)They tell me the car is due for 60K mile service, so I tell them to go ahead, (at $750!). Oh well, I want to keep the car in tip-top shape. I get a call back later that day telling me the extended warranty company won't cover the leak repair or the air bag! So it will be $950 for the repair of the seal and $1000 for a new air bag module! So what I thought would be a $130 visit is now up to $2700!I called my local indep. mechanic and he said airbag replacement would be $500 including the part! That half of what the dealership wanted to charge me. So I tell this dealership to repair the seal, skip the 60k mile service and skip the airbag. Cancel my extended warranty and refund me the prorated amount. Now a month has passed and guess what, the air bag light has never came on since I got the car back! It probably was a loose wire that the mechanic pushed in tight. They tried to screw me out of another $1000 dollars. Stay away from their service department! Consider yourself warned.
