My experience with Kia of Anchorage has been extremely disappointing due to serious concerns about their inspection process, transparency, and overall customer care.
Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, I discovered significant bumper separation that was not visible at the time of sale. A video provided by the dealership after their service work clearly shows the gap worsening immediately afterward. Multiple independent body shops later confirmed the bumper had been improperly repaired prior to my purchase, including a screw someone used in an attempt to hold the bumper together. I have photos of this, and a Body Shop Manager identified it immediately.
When I requested the inspection report that should have been completed before the vehicle was sold, the dealership was unable to provide one. This raises legitimate concerns about whether a proper inspection was ever performed. The prior damage was obvious to every professional who examined it afterward, and it should have been identified and disclosed by the dealership.
Communication has also been poor. My concerns were ignored, and no meaningful assistance or accountability was offered. The dealership does not respond to BBB complaints, leaving customers with no resolution pathway.
I have documented all of this and issued the information to the Attorney General for review.
Based on my experience, the dealership failed to meet basic standards of transparency, inspection quality, and customer support. I cannot recommend Kia of Anchorage.
