No pressure sales. Pleasantly surprised that I did... - BRAD
No pressure sales. Pleasantly surprised that I did business at a dealer. Very pleased with the service I received from them and very pleased with my purchase.
I dealt with Mike, the sales manager, who really worked with me on price and financing. José and his partner, Mark, were great guys. I didn't feel any pressure from them at all to buy a car. You know, getting cornered into an office, feeling like you are being backed into a wall, getting offers that you can't refuse, etc. Now I wasn't sure I was going to buy this car because it literally was the very first AND the only car I test drove. I can't tell you how this completely violates my M.O. on purchasing things. I'm a really good comparison shopper and my family and friends depend on me to major and even minor purchases. So I was extremely hesitant to buy this car even though it seemed that it was everything I wanted.
And to make it even enticing, even though the car's book value was $8k, Mike said he would sell it to me for my asking price of $6k. But then the payments were too large, even with my down payment. I started to look elsewhere. José then kind of bugged me with texts asking if I would buy the car if we got the payments to where I wanted them. I hedged. Again because I still hadn't test drove any other cars. He said to at least come in and give it one more test drive before I dismissed it. I relented and decided to bring my wife with me so she could drive it, too.
Now here's the good part: They just got this car in on a trade. They take the trades into the service department where they inspect the car and give it a full detail job. They do want to sell a car that is in good shape. In this car, they replaced a strut. This made the car ride even smoother than before. I decided to buy it. Mike got my payments way down to where I wanted them to be. I gave them a list of everything I wanted fixed before I took possession. They duplicated the fob and extra key, replaced the bad hydraulic hood support rod, replaced a cabin bulb, fixed the courtesy dome lights so that they would perform like they were supposed to, and fix the errant tire pressure monitor. They did everything. I thought that was impressive.
Mike, José, and Mark are easy to work with and easy to talk with. Mike is a down to earth guy that has been in this business for a long time. It seems that he has great used car deals on his lot. If I had another $10k I would have bought that really nice Jaguar sports car that was priced several thousand below book.
Yes, people, I'm actually recommending that you go to this dealer.
Great Place to Buy From - supernova19
I had a great experience at Mitsubishi in Avondale, the owners and the sales rep Jerry were super hospitable, they made the process really simple and transparent.
This is where you should go for a new or used car if you want an easy process. I got the nicest car I have ever owned here, a beautiful car at a fair price.
Terrible, awful service. Do not recommend. - Tara W
I do not recommend Big Two Mitsubishi whatsoever, as a location to trust with your brand new vehicle. TL;DR here, is my car was taken to this location as a certified dealership to keep from voiding my manufacturer warranty with a newly purchased vehicle, which is understandable. The service center did NOT take anything I said (or the business bringing them my vehicle) seriously, and completely disregarded everything; even after I called to describe the vehicle symptoms. Ultimately, my vehicle was taken to Mark Mitsubishi who actually took my concerns seriously, and repaired the vehicle.
In detail- the symptoms were that the AC was very inconsistent, and often blew very hot air. I assumed this was due to a switch issue, or a compressor leak. I advised CarMax of this, who I had originally purchased the vehicle from. They did an inspection of the vehicle, confirmed there was a compressor leak, and sent my vehicle to the dealership to not void the warranty. Big two stated they could not find anything wrong with the car, and that the reason why it blows the hot air, was due to "Ecomode" on the vehicle, to save gas!.... After hearing this, I called their service center to let them know this wasn't just a small thing the system does to keep from freezing over, it was huge amounts of hot air, and the left and right often were out of sync in blowing different temperatures.
"R" from the service center told me that a recharge of the freon probably fixed the issue, and that I don't know about me, but he's from Illinois, and man, it's super not hot there compared to here in Arizona, so man, the compressors in the AC just have to stop blowing cold air to keep themselves from freezing over, and man like, Eco mode bro! So I let him know, no, I'm not from Illinois, and my 2001 Mitsubishi cools the ambient temp of the vehicle down 100% more effectively than my brand new 2018 Mitsubishi, so, I wonder what's going on with that? R tells me I can come down and "test drive" it myself. I tell him no, I think I'll let CarMax tell me whether or not you have fixed the car. I speak with CarMax, and they tell me they really don't think that Ecomode breaks AC's, and makes them 100% less effective, so they are taking my vehicle over to Mark Mitsubishi, and hoping that they will be more cooperative. Mark Mitsubishi replaced the compressor quickly, and confirmed the issue was fixed. ALL I WANTED WAS A WORKING AIR CONDITIONER. WHY AM SO HARD FIX??
If you value your vehicle, your time, and your sanity, I highly recommend literally anywhere else to fix your car. Your neighbor's backyard, Mark Mitsubishi, the public park, the Dollar Tree, literally anywhere else because that will be just as effective. I do recommend Mark Mitsubishi however, because they actually fixed my car. R could have saved himself some time blowing hot air by just swapping out my compressor, and sending the car home. Their service center is crap, which probably means everything else is crap if they're willing to employ crap employees. So thank you, Big Two Mitsubishi, for not giving TWO craps about me and my car. The good news, is CarMax mentioned they would be taking their business elsewhere. I hope no one else has a similar terrible experience like I did. -5 stars.
After having done business in the past with the Chapman... - DJ_78
After having done business in the past with the Chapman auto group, I thought this would be an easy enjoyable purchase. I was VERY VERY WRONG!
On May 11th I went into Chapman Mitsubishi/Hyundai with the purpose of purchasing a used vehicle and trading in my worn out 2006 lancer. After meeting with the salesman I had figured out which vehicle I wanted and what I was willing to pay. With in 2 hours they had the deal hashed out and I was signing the paperwork. After I getting everything done we agreed that I would take ownership of the car on Wednesday the 15th so it could get the full 60k servicing before I drove it off of the lot.
Come wednesday the 15th i call the salesman to make sure the car is ready so I dont have to drive 35 miles across town to pick it up to find out it wasnt done. Well guess what, it isnt done. Well now it will be ready thursday for sure. Thursday rolls around and now it will be done on friday. Friday I call and there is still an issue with it being ready so I requested to speak with a manager to find out what the hang up is. Turns out the car I had purchased hadnt had its deal completed so Basically I was waiting to purchase a car that the dealership didnt even own yet. Thankfully I hadnt left the lot with it. Come saturday I showed up at the dealership promptly at 9 and explained to them that if the deal isnt done with the car I chose, then I want to be put into something else... They assured me the deal for the car is now complete and the car is mine to take with a slight modification to the loan, a slightly lower interest rate, so no complaints.
Well now that I have the car I assumed we were good to go.. after the first week of owning the car I get a call that the deal had to change because they screwed up on the paperwork. so I go in sign the new paperwork and off I go again. at this point the Lancer payment date came and went .... after another week I call the lender who holds my lancer note only to find out they have yet to be contacted by the dealer. I call Chapman and they say they are running a little behind on their paperwork but will get it finished before the next payment date. Well another week passes and I get called to go down once more cause they payment term needed to be adjusted.. This is fine, Im good with a shorter term and slighty higher payment as my total is now even lower. I have also during this time had several other issues with their finance person that Im not going to bring up cause they have as of last week been let go.. The last time i signed the paperwork the finance guy assured me that they would get it sent in the very next day as they were running close to the 30day mark from where I initially applied. This was thursday June 6th. Today June 15th I get a call from the finance manager that they didnt get the paperwork in in time and now they had to run my credit again and because they ran it through 20 different lenders the first time and now that i have 2 late payments on the Lancer that they have had for over a month, they cant get me financed. I asked what the xxxx happened with getting my paperwork in in time and he says "oh I guess we dropped the ball" with a chuckle. I now am supposed to bring the car back on monday if they cant find a new finance group to take the loan or to get a co-signer which I dont want to do. Yes my credit wasnt great before this as I had just gone through a divorce but they had found me financing and it was what I wanted. Now my credit score is even worse off, I get nothing out of it and they plan on charging me for the month that I had the car, while they have had my Lancer for the same time frame. And I am supposed to just accept the fact they dropped the ball as an answer to why this whole deal fell through. I am very disappointed with this dealership and their people share no concern for their own failures in this deal. I will never shop here again and I have made sure to spread this to everyone I know looking for a car. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS!!
While the salesman I worked with was great!, the rest of the people who work here dont care and dont take accountability for their short comings with the paperwork.
Outstanding. EARNESTO was fabulous - Dan B
Amazing experience. EARNESTO was great in follow up on choosing tires and scheduling appt. His time to install 4 tires exceeded my expectations. Well done and thank you!
