I am a vice president for a corporation and I have a company vehicle This is my 2nd visit for service issues I did not purchase my vehicle from Serp . I Went into have my check engine light checked on and a tire looked at and to see if my brakes needed changed . I told them I would need the vehicle back within 2 hours and Serp had it done in a hour and half. Normally a dealership would find all kinds of things that needed to be changed on a vehicle that has a 160,000 miles on it and try to rack up a big service bills, I've had it happen in the past. I would highly recommend this dealership for honesty and integrity . Most of the time companies only receive negative reviews but positive feedback is very important that's why I'm posting this barren watcher competition I want to be an R and B some artist so I did go on by a I would give this company 5 stars . I went to the dealership for an electrical problem. I received a text telling me my rear brakes needed repaired, and I needed an oil change. (I declined. I took the vehicle in for an electrical problem). At the end of the first day I called to check the status of the vehicle. I was told that the technician didn’t want to test drive the vehicle because the rear brakes were making a noise. (The brakes weren’t making a noise when I dropped it off) The technician did see the electrical issue, but stopped when he heard the brakes. The service advisor said there was a problem with the hat on the rotor. They will continue to check on electrical issue the next day. I called at 1pm to check on the vehicle. I was told Bob was busy and he would give me a call back. At 3 pm, I called Bob back after not receiving a return call. He asked if I received his text update. At that point, I did not. He said it was a problem on his end. He re-sent the message. He said there was a problem with the alternator, alternator pig tail connector, audio amplifier, rear brakes, oil change, oil cooler lines, and manifold leak totaling over $4,000 for repair. I received this message at 3pm on Friday. Obviously, not enough time to repair the vehicle before the weekend. I declined all services. I was charged $210 diagnosis. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed the note on Bob’s desk asking him to return my call. After getting the vehicle back and inspecting it myself, I realized that the technician must have pushed the emergency brake during his inspection which caused the shoe inside the rotor to fall off. There was no problem with the rotor as described by the service advisor. I repaired the alternator for under $200 in about an hour after the dealership had the vehicle for two days and it was in worse condition than when I dropped it off. There was no problem with the pig tail connector or audio amplifier. I understand the dealership probably cannot repair an alternator and needs to use OEM parts. My problems are: #1 The technician stopped diagnosing the vehicle the first day because of a brake concern, but the service advisor couldn’t call and tell me that. (A brake concern that was caused by the technician) #2 Service advisor was too busy to return a call the second day leaving vehicle unrepaired until at least Monday afternoon. There was a note on his desk to return my call. #3 Of the seven issues reported, alternator repair was the only thing needed to fix the requested problem. They just wanted to throw parts at it to hope it fixed the problem

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience at Cochran Chevrolet's service department was a masterclass in how not to run a business. It started with my service rep, Jerry, who, after a few days, told me my car needed significant repairs, including a new thermostat and potentially a broken valve spring. Throughout the initial back-and-forth text updates, I repeatedly confirmed they would work with my Car Shield warranty. After about a week, the story took a sharp turn when I reached out for an update and was answered by the service manager, Angela Rupert. She informed me that Jerry was on vacation and that, actually, my car just had some carbon buildup. Then came the kicker: she claimed they didn't accept Car Shield, a fact that was conveniently ignored the entire time my car was there. Fed up with the conflicting stories, I told her to stop all work and that I would pay for the diagnostic labor and take my car. When I arrived, Angela Rupert proved to be one of the nastiest, most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. My car was sitting outside, yet she refused to give me my keys because I was "visibly upset." She never once offered an apology for the contradictory information. Instead, she became incredibly defensive, claiming I was disparaging "her" business and condescendingly suggesting I must have misunderstood the situation. As someone who has built a 34-year career in business-to-business financial sales—where listening and understanding are critical—this was particularly insulting. In a bizarre attempt to silence me, she said she would charge me nothing so I couldn't complain to the BBB or the Attorney General. After a heated exchange where she falsely claimed my car wasn't ready (I was literally looking at it), I finally got my keys and left. The final insult? I drove up the street, turned my car off, and it wouldn't start again. My battery, which was only two weeks old, was completely dead. They had to jump it just to move it and never said a word. This dealership's service department is a circus of incompetence and deception. Jerry and Angela Rupert are a disservice to the Cochran name. I will be sharing this story far and wide and have already filed complaints. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.
