I recently bought a car here, my first car actually. It was a great experience. After going looking at other used lots I ended up here and by far this was the nicest out of them all. Very well kept cars, kept in a clean indoor space and well taken care of and not left out in the weather. Very friendly service and easy to contact. All the paperwork for each car is on site. I would recommend anyone looking for a nicely kept up car to start here you will most definitely not be disappointed by any means. And was even contacted about a week after purchasing the car to make sure everything was ok and to see if I was happy with my car.

Pros: low key, no pressure approach, overall reasonable price for car, friendly. Cons: vehicle sold needed inmediate brake work which potentially could be against the law in the state of Oregon given the auto safety standards Oregon has. Not entirely truthful.

Buyer Beware! Pacific Auto Sales in Salem, OR. is selling inferior, damaged and problematic vehicles. I purchase a vehicle from them for roughly $8000.00 being told that it was in great condition and they had just done a service on the vehicle. I have spent over $3000.00 in repairs in the 4 months that I have owned the vehicle. When I called to talk to them Mike Weber, their Sales Manager called me a “c__k sucker” and hung up on me. Do not trust them, do not learn the hard way, learn from my mistake, they will take advantage of you and lie to your face. Avoid www.yourpass.net and Pacific Auto Sales in Salem, OR.

Been getting a run around about the warranty we cancelled - they lose paperwork and ask for it again and then do not send the money back for a cancelled warranty - we have proven the car was paid off several times and now we still wait - DO NOT go to this place - very dishonest after the sale!

HORRIBLE! We couldn't figure out why they really pushed the warranty on us when we purchased our car there. Soon to find out that the check engine light came on 40 miles later. Brought it in they checked for codes and said it came back clean and reset the check engine light. EXACTLY 40 miles later it came on again. Brought it in and they said it was the O2 sensors, and the warranty would cover it and they would order parts. They also claimed they would fix the laundry list of other things that were broken. Driver’s side window doesn't role down, seat warmers don't work, lights on dash are out, passenger side door needs to be realigned and drops when opened, back seat head rests are missing, none of the doors on the cubbies close, floor mats were found upside down in the trunk stained black, 4 bad cats and rear defrost does not work.. Several calls and weeks later we get it in and I signed an invoice listing all they would be fixing (which disappeared later) and we were now safely out of our states lemon law and I dropped my car off. 8 days later I pick it up to find they only fixed what needed to be fixed to pass our states emissions since law states they cannot sell a vehicle that does not pass smog, and are now refusing to fix anything else. Warranty wouldn't cover it because all damages are considered normal wear and tear. They sold us the vehicle knowing what was not running properly and needed repairs, assuming the warranty would cover it and tried to bill the company for parts and repairs they should have fixed before selling since they claimed it was a certified used vehicle. When the warranty company declined the claim that’s when things got sticky. Have filed with the BBB and are now filing in small claims court. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to them for business!! Today when I called they said “remember we have attorneys, have a nice day” and hung up.

My wife and I are teachers with a new baby, and our car finally died. We couldn't afford a car that wasn't safe and reliable. We also couldn't afford what most safe, reliable cars sell for. Dealerships kept trying to push us beyond our financial limits, wearing us down for hours until we couldn't take any more. By chance I happened upon Tom Pierce's inventory through Autotrader. The car was not only safe and reliable, the price was inbelievable. On top of that, it was beautiful and a little sporty. I contacted Tom with great trepidation, explaining more than once that I would need to be convinced this wasn't a scam. After a trip to Hillsboro, a CARFAX check and a mechanical inspection, I drove our "new" black '04 Civic EX home today. It's still under warranty, I love the spoiler and moonroof, and the price was simply astounding. I can't believe how much hassle, dishonesty, and runaround we went through NOT to get anything, and then to have this experience with Tom. Unbelievable. I won't go anywhere else from now on.

If you want the cliche shady used car salesman experience, shop Thomason Ford where they advertise a transparent buying experience while they sit on a throne of lies! They pushed me to sign documents saying when I came back the next day with a deposit, I could change terms. Lie #1(But make sure to tell the bank you already put the money down if they call) Lie #2 I came back next day and said I want to buy the car cash in full and also take off the $4000 warranty, and the theft and appearance protect for another $1200 they they just added hoping I wouldn’t notice. I was told taking the warranty off would put the car in repo status (huh?!) Lie #3 and I couldn’t pay in full ;it was impossible because financing had already gone through Lie#4 (as the bank didn’t even have me in the system for another couple days) They denied telling me I could change terms when I brought the cashiers checks Lie#5 PLUS the dealer YELLED at me threatening to take me to court and did not assist me any further. I told one rep I’d be back the next day when Dick cooled off. At this point a 24,000 vehicle is becoming a 35,000 vehicle. I was told the interest rate would be 6%; It is 10.64. Lie #6. I talked to the bank ( who still didn’t have me in the system) and they told me to provide the down payment and they would talk to me the next month regarding payoff. Please use this as a cautionary tale; double check everything. Question everything. If the guy is putting out slimy vibes, listen to your gut and don’t let him distract you by talking your ear off while you are signing documents…also know your rights

Perfect gentlemen when it comes to selling the car and taking your money but after the sale is completely different. I called Juan in accounting 5 days after the sale to let him know how the financing was going. Why 5 days? Because I bought the car while I was on vacation and wouldn't be home for 5 days, Juan knew that. He happily accepted my check for 40k that was he KNEW would not be a good check for at least a week until I got home and finished the paperwork with my credit union. But when I called him to let him know when the check would arrive he became a raging lunatic and completely rude. He questioned and berated me until I was scared and shaking. I told him I was scared and for him to call my husband and explain things to him and he said 'no, why don't I tell you how to fix this.' He threatened to cash a check he knew wasn't good when I wrote it last week. He was highly upset that my financier was sending the check directly to me (so I could add it to funds I already had in my account so that the check I wrote for the car would be good.) It takes a very small man to terrify a woman when shes home alone and has said she's scared. A real man...let alone a professional, but a real man would have apologized and been happy to get my husbands number and speak to him. But not Juan. The thought of that probably scared him more than he was scaring me because I can guarantee he would not have spoken to my husband the way he was speaking to me. He also said this is not how they do business or sell a car. Then why did he let me do it that when the night I bought the car? I told him we did not ask for any favors or have things done special just for us. We had already discussed with Willamette Auto and my credit union on how the process of buying a new car works and we were told the exact same thing. Now Juan was extremely mad that we were 'doing it this way'. He said the check was set to be cashed and the only way he could stop it was with another check. I called my credit union and told them to forward the check directly to Juan so that I wouldn't have to deal with that bastard again. I then called the General Manager and explained to him how I had been verbally abused by Juan on the phone. This is where the drama turns into stupid comedy. Without even an apology Alan Hart asked me for a 'favor'!! He wants to have someone drive 5 hours across the state to my house and have my husband and I re-sign the paperwork we signed last week. Now why would they want that and why should we do that? I don't think so. Alan said if it seemed like Juan was under pressure it was because he was pressuring Juan...'because you know how things are with the economy right now'. Is he kidding me? I even told Alan that he lost a lifelong customer since we had enjoyed the experience the night we bought the car but I would never risk being treated so rudely from them again. He didn't care and without even acknowledging the statement it was then he asked for the favor. Incredulous! I will never buy from Willamette Auto again. I will recommend to all my family and friends to never buy from them, and I will post this review in as many auto forums as I can.
