Sold me a Durango with faulty transmission - screwedover
I purchased a 2015 Dodge Durango with 28,000 miles on it, still under factory warranty. I was told an inspection had been done on this vehicle, that it was a lease that had been turned back in to Riverside. Upon test drive I inquired about rough shifting and was told that the transmission needed a computer "update" and was all good. Less than two weeks after purchase the car was shifting horribly and I brought it to a Chrysler service garage and after evaluation they advised that someone had used the incorrect transmission fluid which voided all warranty. Car was picked up by Riverside (after three days) and spent three weeks in their possession during which time they told me nothing was wrong, (AGAIN), failed to respond to calls and emails and simply gave me the run around. Finally after they flushed the incorrect fluid out, they returned my car claiming it shifted FLAWLESSLY. NOT true, while the transmission is smoother on acceleration, upon deceleration it "clunks" into gear when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. I have called and emailed Riverside with no response and also sent a certified letter to the owner that also received no response. This dealership has the poorest excuse for customer service I have EVER seen and I am stuck with a junk $30,000 vehicle.
