Inskeep buying experience We were looking for a truck that is large enough to pull a 16,000 lb 5th wheel RV. Needless to say, there are a ton of opinions and misconceptions fl We were looking for a truck that is large enough to pull a 16,000 lb 5th wheel RV. Needless to say, there are a ton of opinions and misconceptions floating around. I pre-armed myself with what I needed to be able to pull the RV. So this review is basically about the Inskeep dealership buying experience. Alan King, our salesman, was easy to work with. As with all vehicle purchases, you have to negotiate. I don't think we got the best deal in town and I don't think we got the worse deal in town. We found the middle road. We had started out looking at a new 2020 F350 and eventually steered our way to a 2019 F350. Alan was very gracious to let me take both out for a drive on two different occasions. The steering on the 2019 was sloppy for some reason. It didn't have that tight feeling that the 2020 had. Once we decided to purchase the 2019, I had mentioned it to Alan along with a bulletin about the steering stabilizer that just had the warranty period extended. After a brief discussion, Alan sent the 2019 over to service where they replace the steering stabilizer. Wow! That made a huge difference. The sloppiness was gone and the front end felt tight, like the 2020. I'm very happy that Alan worked with us before we took delivery. We had a tonneau cover, all season mats, mud flaps and spray-in bed liner installed before taking delivery. Inskeep was very quick to complete the work. In today's world with the COVID-19, that is saying a lot. With a full tank of diesel fuel, we took delivery. Inskeep also offered 24 months of free oil changes. The 2019 F350 has original warranty and the vehicle is Ford Certified. I can't imagine a better deal. We also did our financing through Inskeep. They quoted a pretty good rate when we agreed to purchase the 2019. When we were ready to sign the paperwork, the finance person, Ali, found a lower rate. That made the deal even more attractive. Thanks Ali. We felt that Inskeep gave us a fair deal and treated us with the utmost respect. Based on my buying experience, I feel comfortable returning for service needs. The dealership seemed to work as a team between service and sales. I would like to add one final comment. On the second test drive, with Alan's permission, I took the 2019 truck to our camper to see how it would line up. Upon returning, I realized that I had driven through mud puddles at the campground. There was mud slung up along the side of the truck. (It is the reason we decided to add mud flaps.) I don't know the person's name at Inskeep, but he wasn't very happy about the dirty truck I had returned. He cleaned it up very nicely. I just want him to know that it was very much appreciated and to thank him for his great service. Again, teamwork at all levels. More
