Brought my Camaro in for the heater and AC not working. Paid quite a bit of money to get those two things fixed. My car was left dirty and an item was missing when I got it back 2 days later. Next thing I know my check engine light came on and my engine was idling hard and making a clicking noise intermittently. I brought it back to Leson dealership to see what was wrong with it. They told me that they couldn’t find anything wrong, but I insisted that they look again. I finally just took my car, made it a mile down the street and the engine started acting up so I brought it back. I ended up leaving the car overnight so they could do their diagnostic test that they charge you $150 plus tax to do. Turns out that the mechanic didn’t really know what was wrong with it and assumed it was the lifters, an almost $7000 job. I asked for paperwork to back this claim up but was told there was no paperwork. I asked for any proof of his findings and was told there isn’t any, but that he wouldn’t quote an almost $7000 job if he wasn’t sure of it. I ended up taking my car to advanced auto parts where not only did I get a free diagnostic test that only took 60 seconds to do but the gentleman employee told me how easy of a fix it would be and recommended that I go to Delta tires in Belle Chasse. I brought my car to Delta tires where they ran a diagnostic test “for free” and turns out all I needed was a tuneup. My car was fixed in just a few hours and it cost me a small fraction of money that Leson had try to swindle me out of. Leson Chevrolet is a complete joke, rip off and fraud. Maybe it’s because I’m a female who is one of many that are ignorant to car issues but I definitely feel taken advantage of and I’m so sorry to all the other people out there who have been swindled by this crooked company. Why have a mechanic on your team that doesn’t know what he’s doing? I do not recommend coming here unless you have a man with you that knows about cars. Also take your car to an auto body shop or an auto parts shop and get a free diagnostic reading so you can compare it to the one that Leson charges you $150 plus tax to do. More
