Today, after my wife’s vehicle was left at Spitzer Subaru in DuBois, our experience took a noticeably positive turn.
A service team member named Azzy assisted me, and I want to recognize her professionalism. I came in extremely frustrated, and she handled the interaction with patience, respect, and genuine attentiveness. She listened — not just to respond, but to understand — and that made a real difference.
I was also personally contacted twice by Don Reich, General Manager. That honestly surprised me. He took the time to read my review, reach out directly, and ask for deeper details about the issues we’ve experienced. Our conversation did not feel scripted or dismissive. He explained warranty coverage clearly, discussed the diagnostic process for the battery, alternator, and electrical system, and spoke in a straightforward, down-to-earth way that I appreciated.
Regardless of the ongoing vehicle concerns, I believe good leadership shows in moments like this — when someone steps in, owns the situation, and communicates honestly. Mr. Reich did that.
I still expect the mechanical issues to be fully addressed, but today’s communication and customer service from Azzy and Mr. Reich deserve recognition. Respect and accountability matter, and I experienced both today.

I am sorry that your service visit became a concern as our goal is for our customers to have the best experience possible whether it is with our service or sales departments. I looked into your concern where you state the recall repair turned into a service bill. Your vehicle was scheduled for a recall repair at no cost to you. Upon your visit at the dealership, you asked if they would perform the upcoming Pa State Inspection along with the recall repair. During the safety inspection several safety repairs were found that needed to be addressed in order for the vehicle to pass the state required inspection. I understand your frustration and disappointment regarding your vehicle failing the state inspection, but our technicians are required to follow strict state guidelines to ensure that your vehicle is safe on the road. I do want to thank you for choosing our dealership for your vehicle's service needs.
