I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership under its former ownership, Car Pros Kia Huntington Beach. I was preparing to purchase my third vehicle, a Kia Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige, when I experienc its former ownership, Car Pros Kia Huntington Beach. I was preparing to purchase my third vehicle, a Kia Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige, when I experienced the most offensive and unprofessional sales interaction I have ever encountered. On October 17, 2026, while negotiating with someone representing Sutherlin Kia Huntington Beach, I received a barrage of increasingly inappropriate text messages after refusing to pay for unwanted dealer-installed accessories. The messages included: "Are you high man?" "Your brain is invisible" "Stop being Jew and come down here" "And we usually give some happy ending at the end" "Do you like lollipop?" These are VERBATIM quotes from the text conversation. I have preserved screenshots documenting the exchange. The antisemitic remark and sexually suggestive messages were shocking, particularly coming from someone attempting to sell me a vehicle costing approximately $40,000. I subsequently escalated the matter through the dealership's website, where owner and CEO Brett Sutherlin publicly promises customers respect, honesty, and exceptional service. The general manager called me afterward and claimed that nobody from the dealership had called me. Rather than receiving an explanation of the disturbing messages, I was left questioning whether management was taking my complaint seriously. I was a repeat customer, prepared to purchase another vehicle at the advertised price without unwanted accessories. Instead, I encountered offensive messages and a deeply disappointing management response. This review concerns Sutherlin Kia Huntington Beach under its NEW ownership, not the previous Car Pros ownership. I am documenting this experience so prospective customers can make informed decisions about where they purchase their vehicles. I have retained the original text messages and am prepared to provide them to the BBB for verification. More
