Dropped the car off and had it back in less than 90 minutes! The staff at Gunther VW of Delray Beach are always professional and courteous. And that's greatly appreciated. I used to dread taking my car in for servicing at those "other" dealerships but not with Gunther. Thanks for making an otherwise mundane task pleasant on a Saturday morning! Bait & Switch BAIT & SWITCH AND ALL LIES….all our problems started when I received a call from a customer service representative telling me that they would like to BAIT & SWITCH AND ALL LIES….all our problems started when I received a call from a customer service representative telling me that they would like to pay off my leased 2016 VW Jetta and put us in a brand new one without any additional monthly payments. Our lease was not ending until January 2019 and I told this person not to waste our time if they could not put us in the identical Jetta that we were presently leasing. I was assured that would not be a problem and they set us up with an appointment. When my wife and I arrived at Gunther VW Delray, we were greeted by the customer service person I spoke with and she turned us over to a salesperson. The first thing I told the sales person was we were only interested in the identical Jetta we had right now, at the same monthly payments, or we would continue the lease until it ended. Right away he wanted to upsell us with another model. He said he could work out a GREAT deal. As it turned out, after 3 hours of wasted time, he came up with a new lease way over what we were presently paying. At that point my wife and I got up and proceeded to leave the dealership. Outside the showroom, and on our way to our car, the salesperson and his manager approached us and offered us another deal on a Jetta that was not the same upgraded model that we presently have, but said he could do the deal at the same lease price for a 36 month lease. He would even throw in free window tinting. The vehicle on the lot was not the color we wanted, but he said he could have our color in the next day (Sunday). We went back into the show room to give a $450 deposit and we wanted to see the vehicle before they did any window tinting. As we were signing the agreement we noticed the lease was 48 months and not 36 as we had agreed to. The salesperson gave us some “BS” story why this was a better deal for us. At that point we should have walked away, but shame on us we didn’t. The vehicle never arrived on Sunday. On Monday, my wife called the sales person twice and the call was never returned. At that point we notified the dealer we did not want to do business with them and requested our deposit back. We spent over 5 hours at the dealership and they lied from the very start. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT consider doing business with Gunther VW of Delray Beach. More
