If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Toyota Fitzgerald of Gaithersburg, I strongly recommend inspecting the car in full daylight before signing any paperwork. Once the sale is finalized, the de Fitzgerald of Gaithersburg, I strongly recommend inspecting the car in full daylight before signing any paperwork. Once the sale is finalized, the dealership does not take responsibility for dents, scratches, or paint overspray discovered afterward. I would not recommend purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership due to inadequate quality control. I purchased a 2021 Lexus IS 350 on a Sunday evening, and the very next day I noticed several small dents, scratches, and paint overspray. I immediately contacted the salesperson, Andre Roales, and provided photos documenting all of the issues. He referred me to a contact who handles paint-related concerns. Scheduling an appointment was extremely difficult. The service contact was largely unresponsive, and it took over a month to finally secure an appointment. During this time, I believed the dealership was moving forward with addressing the documented issues. When I arrived for the appointment, Taylor Masterson, one of the dealership managers, informed me that the visit was only for paint touch-ups and did not include dents or overspray. I was also told that any dents should have been documented on the sales paperwork prior to signing and that because more than 30 days had passed, the dealership would not provide further assistance. He stated that used vehicles go through multiple inspections, that the car had passed the body inspection, and that once a vehicle is sold, the dealership does not allocate funds to correct dents. What is especially frustrating is that the delay beyond 30 days was not caused by me. The appointment could not be scheduled sooner due to the lack of responsiveness from the paint service contact. Despite reporting these issues immediately after purchase and providing photo evidence, the dealership ultimately refused to take responsibility. After Taylor Masterson declined to honor the work and showed no interest in resolving the issue while I was at the dealership, he later sent me an unprofessional text message stating that after reviewing the messages, the dealership never promised dent repair—only paint touch-ups. This response was inaccurate, as I had sent clear photos showing scratches, small body dents from rock chips, and overspray caused by poor paint work intended to conceal body imperfections. Overall, this experience was disappointing and left me feeling misled. Buyers should proceed with caution and ensure that every cosmetic issue is clearly documented in writing before signing, as there appears to be little to no support after the sale. More
