Your body mostly replaces itself every 7 to 15 years. This is when my wife and I seem to change our cars! I generally spend 8 weeks researching and a couple weeks searching, testing, eliminating and finally purchasing. My experience is one of high expectations as I look for the new car to meet the coming years! We are fortunate in Rochester to have many good automotive brands represented and some fine dealerships. During this odyssey, the top contender was located at Park Place Motor Cars. I had previously done the Sunday unattended cruise of the lots and had found the possible replacement car contenders at each site . It was now time to introduce my self as a potential customer! I had no previous knowledge of any of the sales staff and was introduced to my sales consultant, Almin Alisa. He was courteous and we got along well. I believe everyone gets stressed when buying cars and Alim was able to get the process rolling by sensing my emotions and demonstrating empathy at trying to find what was my best fit. I was shown the vehicles that I had asked to see and also outlined that some features where going to be essential. Alim used impressive knowledge of the desired product and was perceptive of how my wife and l would proceed if we where to choose our car from Park Place Motor cars. I knew a team member from a family who I hold in high regard , a brief chat with Mac Miller, VW advisor and I was able to discern that Mac thought highly of Alim Alisa. For me this confirmed Alim would work for this canny Scotsman! Next came the return to start the process of the possibility of a trade in . This was done by the sales manager James Taylor this guy has DIP (drive ,intelligent and personality) he assessed the possible trade in a firm and effective manner. James and Alim then took some time to cover their assessment and explain their proposal . everyone generally knows what their car is worth having diligently scoured the internet and although the offer is generally a little underwhelming it is only part of the process . I felt the process was moving along with my options still open to negotiate in all areas. I discussed with Alim that i would visit with my wife and then confirm we had the right Auto. this visit went well Alim used his knowledge of the product and his personality see that this was a genuine sale ! After the test drive we left the dealership believing we had found a contender for the hard part the negotiation ! This ended up being handled professionally by Alim and Sales manager James Taylor. They allowed me to stay involved and sent the correct signal to keep the negotiation going forward and not regressing . As we reached a satisfactory conclusion ( should i have got more off the sale price? did l trade in too cheap ?,was the rate satisfactory ?) Alin and James used there sales skill to ensure that l felt good about the deal and then set about putting the emphasis the enjoyment of purchasing a new VW golf . Alim and James ensured that the extra time it took process ,due to my late arrival was productive Alim tutored my son on the technical equipment and reviewed all the operating equipment with us all. James ensured that a VW program was correctly applied to ensure an extra discount . Summary If you enjoy what you do it does not seem like work .Alim and James made this experience be worthwhile they make ther job look like fun . Yes they want to sell cars , but they wanted my satisfaction to be that i had the right car and had a fair deal. Tony in finance worked really well and I appreciated that he would take time to explain even as it was after 7 pm on a Saturday evening ! Alim wished us well as we drove of the lot ..... we got a new car today and James the scottish music you played at the end was a touch too much ! as ...I will drive 500 miles ..not walk Thank you Alim , James and ...Park Place Motor Cars Team !
