NEVER AGAIN will my husband and I go back to Berlin City for service. We recently took my 2024 Toyota Highlander in for service because it was making a thumping noise when backing up. The vehicle had on for service. We recently took my 2024 Toyota Highlander in for service because it was making a thumping noise when backing up. The vehicle had only 6000 miles and was still under the 24 month warranty. When we got there Aidan checked us in and we were told that Ben would be our service advisor. We were told that there would be a change of around $185.00 to check the vehicle out even though it was still under warranty. An hour and a half later, someone came out with a quote of around $375.00 to clean and adjust the front and rear brakes which they thought the pads may be sticking. We agreed to have it done thinking that would be the total for everything. An hour and a half later, we received a text from Ben that our vehicle was ready. The whole time we were there Ben had no contact with us. He never discussed what the problem might be with the vehicle or what the fix should be. The only contact we had with Ben was when he asked us for $504.00 and when we said that wasn't what we were quoted he said that was what we owed. We asked him what was done to the vehicle and if it was fixed and he seemed not to know so he had to read the report which said that it was still making a thumping noise but may come out of it after driving. So we paid $504.00 to still have the noise. The noise seems to be worse since leaving the dealership. Even though the vehicle is not fixed we refuse to go back there because we know that we will be charged again and we feel that we can not trust them. We have two Toyota vehicles in our family and will never go back to that dealership again. More
