Their process of matching sales staff to potential clients is horrible. I arrived around 3 pm on a Sunday. Walked the lot and after 10-15 min went inside to find a salesmen as no one approached me. This is fine, it's busy, and I understand that so no problem there. I waited at the main sales counter inside for 5 minutes until a woman approached who I believe was a sales customer service assistance. She took my license, scanned and printed it, and then wrote my cell phone number on it. Then she asked me to wait in the lobby and someone would be over to assist. Ok again, no problem here. She then vanished and came back 5-10 min later to do the same process for two other couples who walked in after me. Scan their license, take the cell phone, and then disappear to do what seemed to be physically handing the pieces of printed paper to different sales staff. I could tell she was flustered trying to hand people these sheets of paper. The process was just odd. Anyway 20 min went by and both couples who came in after me were attended to. The sales lady then approached me again and guess what, you guessed it she asked me for my license yet a second time only to make another copy and then disappear again to give it to someone. (no phone number this time)! She said I'd be next, but honestly she had no clue who would be next. I waited 10 more minutes with no one coming and had enough so I headed outside. When I got outside I saw a salesman putting a plate on a car and asked if a manager was available and they said "yeah they're behind the glass". I don't know but in my opinion if someone is asking for a manager I normally try to help or ask what's wrong not just point them to go behind the glass. I mean am I really supposed to walk behind there? Anyway, awful procedure and poor management to put a process in place to have someone handing out pieces of paper all over. Now there's two copies of my license laying around out there. Hey, novice idea, why not stack the papers on the main counter then have the salesmen come take the next available one when they are ready. Oh, by the way of course no follow up call at all to see why I left. It even get's better. The GM staff "behind the glass" while I was waiting took a picture of how busy the lobby was. I bet they didn't think I saw that. I assume they were celebrating that lots of people where there.to look at cars so why not take a picture to send to someone (not sure who). Yeah ok, take pictures but don't help potential clients... real classy. Looking at the management pictures below I think it was Ray. This whole thing was a blessing as it actually worked out well as I went down the road to Boch Nissan and was instantly greeted when I closed my car door and they had several Mazda's to choose from that I was looking for. I know things are hard now, and getting good people is hard, and it can get busy, but this is just a case of bad management putting in poor processes. I don't even blame the sales lady for this. By the way I'm not going to be one of those people hiding behind my computer and submitting a bad review. I plan to follow up with the dealership on this. More
