Less than 24 hours later I noticed damage and rust on the roof of the truck. I reached out to Toyota about the damage with pictures. They wouldn't take responsibility of the damage that's clearly older than the one day I owned the truck. They informed me that the security cameras didn't show the damage. After I requested some of the security camera stills they were looking at. They finally sent it to me. You can see the rust and damage as I was leaving the dealership and I pointed it out. They still said there's nothing they can do about it. My friends and family have been buying cars from this dealership for over 15 years. I'm going to make sure everyone I know doesn't buy from this dealership again.

After completing our review, we carefully examined our surveillance footage, which includes time | date-stamped images of your vehicle from the moment it was being brought out to you on November 1, 2025, at 6:18:12 p.m., through your departure from the lot on November 1, 2025, at 6:30:31 p.m. The footage clearly shows the roofline of the vehicle without any visible damage.
Based on this documentation, we must respectfully decline the repair request.

That's funny, because I saw the footage of me leaving the dealership with the damage on the truck. That type of damage and rust doesn't just happen less than 24 hours of owning the truck. Rust takes days to a week to form on a vehicle.
