I found a 2017 Toyota Corolla that I knew she'd love, so I coerced her to come to the dealership. We met Pete "Van" VanGarderen and he was the best sales rep ever! He and Bill were very patient with our very busy schedule and our crazy personalities and were able to get her the deal she needed and her payments within her budget, even with a not-so-great credit score. If you're in the market for a new Toyota, I highly recommend Pete at Fred Anderson. More

I had already financed a 2010 Corolla a year and 3 months prior to purchasing my new car, and Matt really helped with the whole process from start to finish. I was able to trade in my 2010 Corolla, and now have a great interest rate on my new car through Toyota directly. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Lauren in the Financing department also helped me greatly - i have a 120,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that adds very little cost to my monthly premium. My overall experience was great, and i also have peace of mind with my purchase. More

Best Car Place I've Ever Benn To- Period! Last Saturday, my car stopped 4 times in a mile on Hwy 17, and I drove in smoking hot and clattering into the service lane. Leroy jumped right out to Last Saturday, my car stopped 4 times in a mile on Hwy 17, and I drove in smoking hot and clattering into the service lane. Leroy jumped right out to assist me. I was very upset, and he took the time to make sure I was okay, to cheer me up, and to offer me water, etc. before moving onto my car. He remained in touch with my father and I throughout the entire week to ensure everything was taken care of on all ends. There was nothing to do but to get a new car, so I was fortunate to meet even more amazing people at Fred Anderson. Lauren from the Internet met me at the dealership after speaking with my dad, and she introduced me to Shane. Shane helped me with everything from looking at used cars to new cars. Shane even stayed with me multiple nights at the dealership until almost 11 PM so that I could look at everything I wanted and needed, and that would fit in my budget. Buying a new car is a huge decision, and I could not have done it without Shane's help! Bill in finance was excellent, and fully explained everything to me. I loved that my dad, 9 hours agway, could be a part of my car buying process, and Shane, Leroy, Bill, and Lauren all were more than happy to take additional time to speak to both of us. I have never had a service and or car buying experience like I had at Fred Anderson, and as long as I am local I will not go anywhere else! I would recommend Fred Anderson to those looking for a new car or even those who just need an oil change! Leroy, Shane, Bill, and Lauren were not in this for the money- they are in it to help people, and I have never met people like that in the car business; 10 STARS IF I COULD GIVE THAT MANY! More

We were very impressed with the friendly accomodations, the professionalism of the staff, and the playroom for the children. They showed us realistic options, and recommended a local restaurant for lunch so we could privately discuss our course of action. Then, they paid for our lunch!I drove away with a beautiful new lease for a great price, and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for efficient, courteous, and personalized service. I, myself will surely be back in 3 years. More

Ehhhh Went to the dealership to look around for an older new car, or a certified used car. Service was great, probably the best out of all the dealerships I Went to the dealership to look around for an older new car, or a certified used car. Service was great, probably the best out of all the dealerships I visited, but in terms of the follow through, was not so great. I had told them my wants and needs, and Ryan did a good job of showing me around. I really liked the 4-runner but without going with the lease Ryan said it was impossible to make a deal with my budget... But he only tried to make a deal for new (2017) 4-runner, he didn't even give me options for older new versions or certified used versions... I told Ryan I really enjoyed being able to open or roll down my rear window, since I have a german shepherd who sits in the trunk and loves to hang his head out when we drive around town (almost daily). When he showed me the highlander he never mentioned the rear window doesn't even open... I found this out after I had signed all the papers when my car arrived at the dealership. Was not a fan of that... Now I'm not even able to do one of the things I originally told him was a top priority of mine. I also had to pay for a pinstripe... which I didn't even want, but its a must at your dealership... and when i got my car and looked at the pinstripe it was a dang sticker (a $100 sticker) ...come on. The pin stripe was done terribly, had bubbles throughout the entire stripe, so I had to get a card and smooth it out at home which barely helped, but thankfully when i got leather added they took the stickers off and painted them on... which makes me wonder why they didn't do this in the first place... (sounds like a cheap alternative to me) I also signed right away due to the lifetime warranty which Ryan had said covers the engine and transmission as long as I always service it at Toyota. So I then asked well how much are the oil changes... Which he in turn said they are free... Welp, about to go get my first oil change and the service employee at the Columbia location said that the free oil changes only last for the first two years or 25,000 miles... Whereas I was led to believe they were free for life, so now I'm curious as to how much oil changes are, because I can guarantee if they are over $60-70 I will not be servicing my car at the dealership after the 2 years or 25,000 miles which will then cancel my lifetime warranty which was a main selling point of the car! He also told me, anytime I get my car worked on I will get a free loaner car to drive in the mean time. I live in Greenville, so I had to do a lot of back and forth between there and Charleston to get my car, and get the leather added. To make this easier on me Ryan added incentives... He said when I came down to get my leather added, he would have the car detailed and fill the gas tank for me. Well I called Ryan to setup the leather installation and asked about my loaner car, which he then said I would not receive because this wasn't "long term maintenance" even though it would take 3-4 days... When he told me I get a loaner car while my car was getting worked on, I assumed this meant anytime, but nope, that was just another misleading statement... thankfully he was able to work it in that I get a loaner for the few days so that was fine, but i had to spend my time convincing him I should get one. Also, when I got the loaner car, the thing was filthy, there was a bunch of trash in the rear seats and sand all over the back seats... (and when I say all over this is no overstatement, literally covered in it) Seriously? So I had to clean the dang thing just to drive my friends around. Then I go to pick my car up after the leather was added, and the car was still dirty, matter of fact even dirtier than when I dropped it off, although Ryan said he would have it detailed... Also, one of the back plastic levers on the rear seat was about to fall off... thanks to whoever installed the leather. And last but not least the gas tank was empty... i could deal with the dirty car and broken plastic (that bothered me though) but not even a full tank... every incentive i was offered to drive all the way to Charleston to have this leather installed was not fulfilled... EVERY SINGLE ONE. I told Ryan about the tank and he rode with me to a gas station, taking more of my time before my 3 hour trip back home. I am happy with car, love the way it drives and everything in it. But am VERY dissatisfied about all the misleading statements. Ryan is a good salesperson, super friendly, and knows everything possible about the cars on the lot. That should be known, hence why this is a stand alone statement. But what makes a salesperson great, is when they listen. He did not listen when I said I wanted a rear window that opens or when i noted how much i love that the four-runner's rear window goes down, he did not listen when i said I'm interested in certified used or older new cars, which probably could have led me to get a four runner or a cheaper vehicle, and he did not follow through on any of the incentives he offered me, without me reminding him (on the gas tank). So now I'm left with a queasy feeling, not knowing what all is covered for my car, how much the oil changes will be (Since i thought they'd all be free which was a HUGE factor when i signed...) and have a car that's missing one of the fundamental things i was looking for. So in all, satisfied with the dealership and the car, but more than dissatisfied with the misleading statements, the unfulfilled incentives, and the uncertainty about what i will need to pay for in the future.
