After a less than stellar experience a few years back with my XC60, I decided to return and give this dealership a chance on my 1 old XC40 that needed a standard 10K mileage tune-up. I booked the appoint with my XC60, I decided to return and give this dealership a chance on my 1 old XC40 that needed a standard 10K mileage tune-up. I booked the appointment two weeks prior and had reserved a loaner as I needed a car for the day. Pretty simple - get in, drop off car, and get out. When I arrived my experience was far from simple. 1) The driveway pull in was backed up when I pulled up, and I had to sit in my car a few minutes before anyone came out to move the car in front up, etc. While I can appreciate the fact that it was busy, this was already not the best start - with several techs walking around in circles while I waited. 2) I go to the desk and check in with a very experienced rep who tells me they are out of loaner cars and would I either a. wait while my car was worked on and they would get it in ASAP b. have them drive me home and come pick me up later on. I opted to wait, even though I was working and need to get back to my desk at home 20 mins away. I didn't have my laptop of anything else handy to be able to work, which is why I booked the loaner. I'd also needed a car during the day, which apparently was not in the cards. I was told it would be quick and prioritized, while my rep continued to engage with another customer who had his Lotus being worked on and didn't seem to be distracted. I then waited in the waiting area for 15 mins before deciding to get up and use the restroom. In the 20 or so mins since I'd left my car in the drive in area, it had not moved at all. When I asked the distracted rep about timing, he said my car was in and being serviced. I pointed out the car was sitting in the same spot where'd it'd been left when I came in, and not in the garage being worked on. I opted to take my car home, and was told they could book a new valet pick up service, no charge to me, two weeks later. I was like, I booked this appt 2 weeks prior and you've just wasted a good chunk of my morning with nothing to show for it. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Smyth for service and I'm taking my business elsewhere. More

From the minute I met Peter Dudas until I had my tutorial with Alan, my experience with Smythe Volvo was excellent. Peter walked me through the process, showed me all the models, and made some excellent sugg with Alan, my experience with Smythe Volvo was excellent. Peter walked me through the process, showed me all the models, and made some excellent suggestions. My exit meeting with Alan was terrific; he explained all the programs and made sure I understood what my car had to offer. He made sure I was comfortable with my car…and also gave me his contact information so I could call him at anytime. The finance piece was explained very well and I feel confident with my purchase. Alan introduced me to the service manager who told me he was available to help at anytime. After being away from Volvo for 20 years, it’s great to have a new car and to feel comfortable and confident with Smythe Volvo. More

The team went above and beyond to meet my needs, spending time to find vehicles that matched my specifications and patiently answering all my questions—no matter how basic they seemed. The delivery process was smooth and quick, with the paperwork handled efficiently across departments. A special thanks to Steven in Sales, Santiago, Henry, and Abood in Finance, Adam the Delivery Specialist, Billy in Service, and Kevin Flanagan for personally stopping by to thank me—a great gesture! Even my last-minute request for mudguards on delivery day was accommodated at closing hours without any hassle, showing their commitment to customer satisfaction. Post-delivery, Santiago and Henry patiently resolved all my finance-related questions, ensuring I felt supported every step of the way.
