One of the things I check for when buying a car is dealer reviews. Most are awful and Prestige Toyota seemed to be a unicorn with many glowing 5 star reviews. Wish I could say the same. Here is my story: Thi reviews. Most are awful and Prestige Toyota seemed to be a unicorn with many glowing 5 star reviews. Wish I could say the same. Here is my story: Things started off well in my hunt for a used BMW 750. I spoke to Josh on a Saturday and told him about the KBB instant cash offer of $23k received through the link on Prestige's web site for my trade. I was assured it was legit and told that I may even get more. I do not live close to Prestige and said that I would like to only make one visit and drive home with my new wheels – "no problem" I was told. Josh seemed honest and I told him that I finally felt like I wasn’t dealing with a slimy car salesman. I was told “we don’t xx here!” Great I thought. We left off that I would come in Monday and drive home with my new car. That Monday Josh called punctually at 9 a.m. and said that I would be dealing with Ana, another Bimmer fan. Ana and I hooked up and were in constant contact throughout the day. She was very responsive. I again wanted to be sure I wasn’t going to be wasting my time and let her know I was pretty far away and that their honoring the KBB offer was important and asked her to save me a trip to not waste both of our times if it wasn’t. I was assured it was legit and like Josh she also said I may get more. I even provided my window sticker of my trade (yea still have it!) and she checked with her manager about the trade and said the offer is solid in that it took all the extras my car had into account so I wouldn’t be getting more than $23k which was fine with me. Like with Josh, I also made it very clear that I wanted to do this in one visit and drive home in my new car and was assured that would not be an issue with a planned 5 p.m. arrival. I even applied for and was approved for financing to expedite the transaction. I left work early and updated Ana en route as to my time of arrival as I was hitting traffic. She said NP see you at 5:15 when you get here. When I arrived I checked in at the front desk and was greeted by….Brent, Brent?? What happened to Ana? Brent was nice enough but was not involved in the deal and conveniently uninformed on several aspects of my interactions so far that for brevity’s sake will not get into. I was ready to take a test drive when Brent informed me that the car had a flat and that we would need to drive 3 minutes to the repair shop to take a look. I gave him the keys to my trade so it could be inspected while we went to look at the car that I presumed would have the tire fixed in a few minutes so I could test drive it. We arrived at the shop and I was surprised to see the driver’s tire with a 6 inch flap-like blow out in the sidewall. “How could that happen to a car that sat on a lot?” I asked. I got a shrug and no explanation. In addition to the flat, the car had not been prepped at all as it was filthy on the outside. Also, one tire was completely bald, less than 1/32nd on an inch left. I asked how long it would take to ready the car for a drive and was told that the tire would not be there till tomorrow!! I looked past all that (probably foolishly so) and inspected the car. It looked to be in good shape on the inside and body so said ok let’s close the deal with a proviso that I test drive it when I make the 2nd trip, the trip I clearly was looking to avoid to pick it up. We got back to his desk and I anxiously awaited the results of the inspection of my trade. Brent came back with…. $16k - $7k less than KBB. Now I get it, if my car was trashed I don’t deserve $23k but it wasn’t trashed and I was told that is what they are offering - again i described the car accurately. And I'm pretty certain the car would be listed at $26.5. I informed Brent that I was not happy and expressed my displeasure in that I could not have been clearer in that I didn’t want to waste my time. I couldn’t believe that they lowballed me and had me come down when the car wasn’t ready for a test drive. Perhaps that is why Ana ran for the hills. She was put in a bad situation and i wouldn't want to face a customer if i were in her shoes. Even with all this, Brent still tried some sales xx on me but I left in a huff after a few minutes. The next day Brent called me to see if the deal could be salvaged and I again let him know how disappointed I was in how I was treated. I told him that the tax savings on my trade was the tipping point for my affording the car, it was a $2k savings;. I said I could sell it to Carvana and get $22k but i would have to pay the tax on the $22k which is the deal breaker. He offered to talk to “his manager” to see if they would split the tax with me i.e., they take off another $1k. I said ok but that they will need to replace the bald tire as well. He said he would check with the manager and get back. I am still waiting for the call. He never called back that day and didn’t call the day after. Sorry had to do a brain dump cuz this whole experience really doesn't sit right with me. For this you get one star!! This happened on December 5 so if anyone at Prestige reads this I am happy to discuss. I am sure this is fresh with Brent, Josh and Ana. I did reach out to the sales manager (Edmund Ruella) via email today to contact me but have not heard back. Again, this is cathartic you all seemed to be nice folks but I needed to unload! More

This dealership after another two months still has not process my registration. We had trouble with my liscence from March u til August. I moved from states and wasn’t able to prove my ádreles from March process my registration. We had trouble with my liscence from March u til August. I moved from states and wasn’t able to prove my ádreles from March to august. But in September I gave the dealer all the necessary things they asked. I also asked for another temp plate because the other ones they gave me were expired. They have denied me dealer plates for the last 3 months. I can’t use my car because of it….they are blaming me for this whole thing, in reality I did what they asked me to do and it is the dealership fault I gave them everything that they needed in September. If they were missing the insurance card in September why didn’t they say something about it? Also, how come the dmv in Massachusetts still does not have the paperwork to get my stuff registered? The DMV told me in person that no one has tried to register any vehicle under my name or vin number I gave them. They Can’t answer that for me? How was that my fault? Sounds like the dealers fault to me. This dealership has ruined my thanksgiving plans. I don’t know who a human being can live with A family not able to be with their family because they won’t issue another temp plate. I hope your happy with how your dealing with this situation. Thanks a lot! I hope you enjoy your family, Prestige Toyota of Ramsey. More
