I was on the phone with the sales department right at opening to put a deposit on a used car (coming from out of state). I told them my biggest concern was the car being sold before I arrived. They assur opening to put a deposit on a used car (coming from out of state). I told them my biggest concern was the car being sold before I arrived. They assured me I was first in line and a deposit would hold the car for 24 hours so I could get there to sign the paperwork. They did a hard pull on my credit for financing and right as they were transferring me to the finance department said "hang on, someone just walked in and is interested in the car, we'll call you right back." Three hours later they called to say they sold it to the walk in. The sales rep said this happens all the time. If you're not physically in the dealership, or if you're coming from out of state, DON'T BOTHER. These guys will waste your time, ding your credit, and sell a car out from under you in a second. Incredibly disingenuous and unprofessional. Go elsewhere! More
