Hey there, I'm Caleb, proudly part of the Schomp BMW team! I am originally from Portland, Maine, and moved to Colorado in 2017. I've been in the automotive industry since I was a little kid; I worked at my grandfather's automotive repair shop. My favorite car is the BMW M5 because you can get it all with the car, from performance to luxury, in a still decently sized car. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs. I also enjoy playing basketball and video games with my friends and little brothers, who are back in Maine.

Totally incompetent sales staff! Previously owned an electric BMW, went into buy a Certified IX. Told them of need to buy quickly and was moving funds to pay for it. Called the sa Previously owned an electric BMW, went into buy a Certified IX. Told them of need to buy quickly and was moving funds to pay for it. Called the sales manager Andrew Smith telling him directly through voicemail that I wanted to buy the car. Texted salesperson Caleb Emerson I wanted to buy the car. Completely ghosted! Sales manager Andrew Smith totally dropped the ball and missed the voicemail. Salesperson Caleb Emerson went out of office without telling me despite me saying I needed to buy the car quickly, within days. Only got a defensive message from Sales Manager Andrew Smith days later after I emailed the General Sales Manager asking what the heck was going on. All he did was deflect the blame to me saying he didn't have calls or voicemails even though I have the call logs to prove I contacted both him and Caleb. He then told me of some general follow up email I should've responded to. Emailed General Sales Manager Darrick Edwards of situation and how we didn't understand why no one was getting back to us when we were ready to buy. He didn't respond. I don't understand the sales world, but when did the customer have to beg to buy a car? I ended up buying an IX from elsewhere. Totally ridiculous! Just a hugely disappointing experience and waste of time. So disrespectful to my wife and I who took the time to try and do business with this dealership. My wife and I feel incredibly slighted, disrespected, and ignored. Overall, it's just not the right way to treat people. More

On Thursday, July 24th, my wife, Amy, and I met with the salesperson at Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch, Colorado to look at and test drive a 2026 BMW x5 xDrive50e. The car we drove had everything we wanted salesperson at Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch, Colorado to look at and test drive a 2026 BMW x5 xDrive50e. The car we drove had everything we wanted including the parking assist package with the cameras that surround the entire car that we’ve been accustomed to having in all previous cars. The only problem with the car we test drove was that we preferred the metallic version of the white paint called mineral white. The salesperson assured us that they had the same car with the same options in mineral white in transit and we could obtain that car if we left a $1000 deposit. So, we left our $1000 deposit using our debit card to avoid any transaction fee, but we were charged a $20 transaction fee, nonetheless. The following day I applied for financing, and I was told my credit score was great, approximately 870, and that I qualified for an interest rate of about 4.99% and that I qualified for a rebate of $4,100 on the car. I asked him about the 2.99% interest rate advertised by BMW and on their website, but he told me the finance department wouldn’t go lower than 3.99%. I did not receive any disclosures indicating why I did not receive the interest rate advertised. On July 30th, in the afternoon, the salesperson notified us that the car had arrived and was being prepared for delivery to us. Shortly after, the salesperson sent over some add-ons I could include with the purchase of the car. The two main options included the One Protect extended warranty for an additional $6,838, and the other was the extended maintenance package for an additional $3,749. The salesperson told me that these products would have to be purchased at the time of the sale, or I could not add them later. Additionally, the salesperson suggested that I sign the forms online to save time sitting in the finance office and I accepted. However, I did not realize how many pages they would send, and I was uncomfortable not having read any of the details of the contracts or the add-ons. So, I asked the salesperson if I could sign these when I came back in a week from my trip to Canada since my flight was the very next evening. He assured me that there was no risk, I could cancel these products whenever I wanted. In the worst case, the add-ons would be prorated and whatever time or service I didn’t use would be refunded to me. So, I looked over the options on the car, I saw the Parking Assist option was included among the other features I wanted, I chose the One Protect extended warranty, the extended maintenance add-on, dent protection, appearance protection, and window tinting for a total of $13,099 in add-ons to the purchase of my car. The next morning, July 30th, a few hours before I needed to leave for my trip, I picked up my new car from Schomp BMW, drove the car home, and left for my trip. Once I returned from my trip on August 5, I was able to spend some time with the car and I realized that the car I purchased did not have the cameras surrounding the car like the car I test drove had. So, I contacted the salesperson again and he informed me that the cameras are part of a different parking assist product that was not included in the car and could not be added. When I checked the options for my car, the Parking Assist package was listed and matched the title of the Parking Assist package included in information given on the BMW website. Nonetheless, I asked the salesperson what I could do, and he informed me that I could trade my new car back, sell it to the dealer as a used car, and use that to purchase a new car. I would take a substantial financial loss on a car. I was furious. I decided I would try to mitigate my losses and return the add-on products I purchased from the dealer. Again, the dealership informed me they would honor all the returns except for the extended maintenance contract purchased for $3,749. This is unacceptable. More
