I purchased by first new BMW in 2022, and decided to try Circle BMW since they are the closest to me and have a great reputation according to reviews. I built the car at bmwusa.com and contacted Circle to see if they could fulfil the order at MSRP. They responded with an asking price of $5,000 over MSRP, which I didn't agree with. I then called Flemington BMW, who a friend suggested, and they immediately offered the car at MSRP and they took a deposit over the phone via credit card. 5 months later I took delivery and the car was perfect, though it was frustrating to drive over an hour to Flemington to acquire the car. I decided to bring the car to Circle BMW for service and my experience has been good for the most part. The service staff are friendly and it has overall been smooth for the 3-4 times I've been there. I did have one service experience that did rub me the wrong way. Let me preface this with the fact that I am meticulous about the car since purchasing it new. It's garage kept and has never spent a night outside and I can point out every minor blemish on the car inside and out. After my recent service visit, I left the dealership and on the drive home I noticed a relatively deep 1-2 inch long scratch at the bottom of my steering leather wheel, which I am 100% certain was not there prior to my service visit. I immediately submitted a contact us form on their website and then decided to call the service department the next day. The service guy said he'd refer this to someone and that I'd get a call back. A few days went by and no call so I called again, and again, I was told the same thing but no callback. I had to visit service again because a part was not available from my original visit and upon arriving I brought up the damage to the service guy. He referred it to the manager and he showed me a video clip from an aerial view perspective from around 10 feet up in the air at front end of the car which shows the service tech for a few seconds near the door of the car. They essentially said "we don't see any jewlery or anything on his wrist or hands that could have caused the damage so it must have been there already." There was no footage of the service valet bringing my car between the service port to the garage. While I understand they are trying to avoid spending money on fixing existing damage, I was a bit surprised that they took no accountability for causing it and there were no questions asked to others who came in contact with my car that day. I normally take photos of the outside of the car the night before my service visits to protect myself in the event new scratches or dings appear, but I never worried about interior damage. Going forward, I am purchasing steering wheel protectors/wraps and probably seat covers and am going to take photos of the car inside and out at the time of dropping the car off for service. Granted, this may be insignificant to some people, but to an enthusiast, it's a daily eye sore. More
