I’m an experienced car buyer, and I was searching for a very specific vehicle: a Volkswagen GTI 40th Anniversary Edition with a manual transmission. I found one listed over 700 miles from my home. The listing had very little information beyond the Carfax report, which confirmed the make, model, color, mileage, and manual transmission. The car hadn't yet gone through the dealership's inspection or certification process. Even so, they honored my request to see the car since I was the first of many people to inquire about it. Andrew quickly sent me a detailed video of the car. He was knowledgeable, honest, and transparent, sharing everything he knew even though the car wasn't yet ready for sale because it still needed to complete the certification process. He kept me updated every step of the way, explaining what work was being done before they felt it was ready to sell. I was naturally skeptical at first, especially buying a car sight unseen from so far away. But once the car successfully passed inspection and certification, they gave me the opportunity to secure it before offering it to other interested buyers. We worked out a fair price, and the entire staff treated me exceptionally well despite me being an out-of-state customer and the high level of interest in the car. They easily could have said, "Take it or leave it," but instead they took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the purchase. I appreciated their philosophy of wanting every customer to be happy. Buying a Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen remotely can be stressful, but Andrew and his manager Lauren made the entire process easy and straightforward. He was upfront with every detail, and it didn't take long before I knew I was in good hands and could trust that they would do the right thing. The car itself—a CPO Volkswagen GTI MK8 40th Anniversary Edition—was exactly what I had been searching for. The sales team was genuinely excited to help me get into such a special car and made the entire experience enjoyable. Everyone was honest, responsive, and professional. I flew from New York to Indiana to pick up the car, and Andrew Weeks personally greeted me at the airport and gave me a ride to the dealership. That's outstanding customer service! Sales Manager Lauren Bailey was incredibly responsive and stayed on top of every question and detail throughout the process. The dealership even included new GTI floor mats and a safety kit, and they made sure everything on the car was in perfect working order before I arrived. Everyone—from Andrew to Lauren to the finance manager, Chad—deserves an A+. They sent me numerous videos and photos throughout the process, which gave me confidence in my purchase. This was one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had. Thank you, Andrew! Thank you, Lauren! Thank you, Chad! I drove the GTI 700 miles home, and every mile was a joy. I would absolutely buy from this dealership again. Next time, I'll plan to stay a little longer and explore Indianapolis! More

If I could give this dealership a no star rating I would. The only reason it is getting a one star rating is because of the people who we worked with. The only people that were nice was our salesmen, service manager and sales manager. So we purchased a brand new 2024 Volkswagen Tao S, which had 22 miles on it. You figured with buying a brand new car there wouldn't be any problems, right?! Well WRONG!! They sold us a lemon. We drove the car three times. On the third time we were driving on the highway and the car started to pour black smoke, every warning light on the engine came on, it said over 4000RPM and to start/turn off the engine. We were on the highway when all of this happened. We had our children in the car while it was pouring this black smoke. We had the car not even one week. We had to get the car towed to another Volkswagen dealership. The problem with the car it was a bad catalytic converter, a vacuum leak and a software issue. We went to the dealership the next morning after the car was towed to speak with general manager regarding the situation. He not only laughed at my husband as he was voicing his concerns on what happened and the scary situation my family was put in. He said things like this happen all the time. He was not only rude but did not do anything about the situation. We spoke with the actual company Volkswagen itself and they said this is not normal. It happens to only 1% of their new cars. On the other 2 visits we had to make to the dealership, we were fully taken care of by the employees, minus 1 person…the GM(Wyatt). While we would sit inside the lobby he would just walk past, avoiding eye contact, refusing any source of communication. This has been the worst experience in customer care from upper management. If you choose to buy at this dealership, make sure you have a full inspection and don't plan on the GM to raise a finger, unless it's the middle one. More

My experience with the staff at Tom Wood was excellent, everyone I interacted with from the sales team to the finance department were friendly, professional and attentive. At no point did i feel pressured everyone I interacted with from the sales team to the finance department were friendly, professional and attentive. At no point did i feel pressured by any of the staff, and Lauren and Mark went the extra mile to help me locate and reserve the exact GTI I was looking for before it even arrived on site at their dealership. Considering the scarcity of new vehicle inventory all over the country, the fact they only charged MSRP with no mark up was amazing! The entire process to test drive and purchase the car the day it was available took a whopping 90 minutes, which must be a record for the fastest sale ever! Tom Wood just picked up another loyal customer, and I plan on visiting Tom Wood dealerships for any future vehicle purchases should they arise. More
