I visited Jeep Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to purchase my leased vehicle as my lease end date was approaching. I originally worked with Chris Mitchell in 2023, and he reached out as my lease was purchase my leased vehicle as my lease end date was approaching. Prior to coming in, I had visited another Jeep dealership closer to me and was quoted a 10% interest rate, which I felt was very high. Because of that, I secured my own financing through Chase at a significantly lower approved rate. I also requested an out-the-door price from Liberty ahead of my visit so I could finalize my loan, but never received it. When I arrived, I explained to Chris Mitchell that I already had financing in place and simply needed the final numbers. He insisted that what I had from Chase was only a pre-approval, which was incorrect and confirmed several times by Chase directly. I forwarded it to him and after looking at it he realized that it was in fact an approval. Another guy came out (who I thought at the time was from financing but later realized he was only sales), Jerry Lopata and brought the figures. It included several unexplained fees beyond the buyout & taxes/ fees. There was a $1,500 fee that they said was their fee to process the documents and they also included a $1,600 clear coat charge. When I questioned it, he casually removed the clear coat charged but said $1,500 was their fee. After reviewing the corrected numbers, I contacted Chase to update my loan amount. At that point, Jerry told me Chase required a $7,000 down payment, despite never speaking with them and despite me already having full approval with clear terms. They continued to insist I completed another application with Jeep, even though Chase had told me that was unnecessary. After continued pressure, I just provided my info because they made me feel there was no other way. Jerry then came back claiming Chase had changed my interest rate to 9% and pushed a document in front of me claiming to be the approval from Chase. I immediately called Chase again, and they confirmed my approved rate was still 6.9%. They also told me someone from the dealership had called and was given the correct rate of 6.9%, and that my application had been submitted multiple times unnecessarily. I asked to go to financing so we could call Chase together to clear up the discrepancies, but Jerry refused, saying he didn’t have time to sit on the phone. I just wanted to buy the car and I had the approval but they wouldn't let me move forward. After nearly 3 hours of back-and-forth, conflicting information, and clear inconsistencies, I chose to walk out. I later spoke with Chase again, and they confirmed my approval was valid and ready to go, and could not explain why the dealership was providing different information. Overall, this experience felt extremely dishonest and misleading. It seemed like an attempt to take control of my financing and inflate my interest rate. This kind of behavior is exactly why dealerships have a negative reputation. I strongly caution others to be very careful when working with this dealership. More

Chris was easy to work with — no pressure, no games, just honest communication. He answered all my questions, helped me understand the options, and made sure everything was handled efficiently. What stood out the most was how transparent and respectful the entire process felt, which is not always the case when buying a car. The deal itself was fair, the vehicle was exactly as described, and everything was ready when promised. I ended up trading in my previous car and driving away in my new Jeep the same day without any complications. Overall, this was one of the easiest and most positive car-buying experiences I’ve had. I’d definitely recommend Chris Mitchell to anyone looking for a straightforward and professional salesperson, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again in the future. More
