I experienced some serious technical issues during my transfer case / rear differential fluid services on 12/29/2023. #1. They use non-Lexus/Toyota oil without disclosing it prior to rendering service transfer case / rear differential fluid services on 12/29/2023. #1. They use non-Lexus/Toyota oil without disclosing it prior to rendering services. #2. They put in out-of-spec fluid on both parts. Transfer case - corrected for free Rear differential - they insist it's correct and ignore my request. Fact to #1 On the invoice, it shows the fluid as: 76364 ULTRA GUARD 79264 SYNCHRO SHIFT We assume a Lexus dealer would use genuine Lexus/Toyota gear oils, but later I found out the fluid were BG brand. It's deceiving and no disclosure. Fact to #2 Lexus calls for GL-5 (75W-85) for both Transfer case and rear differential on 2019 RX350 AWD. The fluid they put in was BG 76364 ULTRA GUARD Heavy Duty which is GL-5 (75W-140) https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/driveline/bg-ultra-guard-ls-heavy-duty/ 75W-140 has much higher viscosity than 75-85 and is not considered compatible. In our email exchange they claim "BG 75364 Ultra guard is 75w-90 weight gear oil." *** they don't know what they put in our cars *** I replied with a product screenshot from BG website but the service advisor and service manager just ignore it. It's what we say it's worth...this miss out key features to scam custo.ers out of thousands because expensive features are not attached to the Vin they have to be added manually and they leave them out to profit more ..its really sad.
