While shopping on-line for a used vehicle I saw that Koons had one that might work. I contacted the internet salesperson and received details plus they sent me a video of the car. The next day I spoke with Franklin who sent me another video of the car. I offered a lower price and they declined. They also add a Processing Fee at closing that is strictly dealer profit which they would not lower or remove. We made an appointment to come and see the car. While stopped for lunch, I received a notification on my phone that there had been a price adjustment. I thought to myself, is this a bait and switch deal with a higher price? To my delight it was a notification that the price had been reduced by $500. Upon arrival I spoke with Justin behind the desk and asked about the price reduction. He said they would honor that price and introduced me to Tanner who showed us the car and went with us on a test ride. He also arranged to have the car put on a lift so that I could examine the undercarriage. We started paperwork while they washed the car and filled the tank with gas. Finally, we were ready to meet with Chris in Finance. Finance is where many dealerships try to sell you expensive upgrades and warranty programs that are priced well above dealer costs. Not Chris. No high pressure for anything. The only thing he mentioned was the availability to purchase a seven-year warranty/towing/repair plan at dealer cost which I thought was too good of a deal to pass up. In summery my experience with the Koons staff was great. The only downside was that Chris was the only Finance Officer working which caused us a two hour wait and since we had 2.5-hour drive time each way it made for a long day but in the end, Koons sold us a car at a price that was very reasonable given today's car prices. Tanner even synced our phones to the car before leaving. More
