In my 30 years of being a loyal Chrysler customer, this service department is the absolute worst. I wasted so much time waiting and experienced the worst customer service. on the first day I arrived right service department is the absolute worst. I wasted so much time waiting and experienced the worst customer service. on the first day I arrived right on time for my 9am appointment I was told that the diagnostic will be done and because of a union strike, they may not have the parts on site. This was fine because I was told what to expect ahead of time. I did elect to wait because this is my only car. I patiently waited for service for 3 hours, then found out that the parts weren't available, and would need to be ordered. Ok, understood, didn't complain. Then, I paid $500+ so they could order the parts. Then, a week later I'm told they are in. So, we make an appointment, my husband takes the day off of work to bring the car in at the appointed time of 8am so that we can have the car back that evening. He takes the bus home and waits. No phone call...I call at 5pm and am abruptly told that "It's a big job" and that the car can't be fixed until tomorrow. No apologies, just very blunt and matter of fact, like they're doing me a favor. Which they werent because I didn't have a heads up that I would be without my car for another day. My husband calls the next morning to get clarification, because now he has to take another day off to pick up the car. He is told by the service manager that they haven't even started on the car yet and don't know if the car will be fixed by the end if day two. At this point, waiting was no longer an option, we needed our car to go to work. My husband was not happy and asked why our car wasn't fixed yesterday and he wanted it guaranteed that it would be fixed today or we will have to pick up the car. The manager was unapologetic and told my husband that, "I'm not god." So, that was it, my husband told him that he was picking up the car now. To that, the Service Manager said, "Good, now I have only one person mad at me." So, my husband takes the bus and picks up the car. That was 2 weeks ago. Now I am finally able to take my car into our more reliable and much nicer mechanic. That mechanic is located an hour away from where we live now, but I'll drive back to our old town, just to get this car fixed. Oh, and by the way, this mechanic said that this is NOT a big job and he'll have it fixed in a few hours. I feel that the service center overbooks appointments and prioritizes those waiting in the waiting room over those who just drop off their vehicles. Just because we dropped off the vehicle doesn't mean that we didn't need our car. We did. We also could have done without the attitude. The attitude just made everything much worse. A simple apology instead of the snarky comments would have been much better. Yes, I did get my money back for the parts, but I would have rather just brought the car in and had it fixed when it was originally suppose to be done. More
