My First Used Car I'd like to start off this review by saying that this was the second dealership I'd visited on the day I bought my car. First I went to Hudson Honda i I'd like to start off this review by saying that this was the second dealership I'd visited on the day I bought my car. First I went to Hudson Honda in search of a used Honda Civic, and while they were decent at best (I'll write a separate review for them), I walked out with nothing. A few hours later, feeling disappointed, I thought, xxxx, I'll try DCH Montclair Acura. There was only car I wanted to look at, and with the help of Colleen Amirr (who, as far as I understand, is in charge of internet sales...I'd emailed about the cars first) I was introduced to Barry Katz, who was very helpful. The test drive was fantastic. I don't know my way around the area, but Barry guided me down two roads where I was able to aptly test the car's speed, brakes, acceleration, and its performance while driving on an incline. He answered my questions promptly, and most importantly, didn't try to push me to make a decision. But the decision was made. As soon as we went inside, I made an offer on the vehicle, and although I did make a bit of an aggressive offer, a manager was called (I don't remember his name, sorry) and we were able to come to an agreement. I went home that day with my first used car. That was last week, and I've been a happy driver ever since. More

He was passionate about the products they sell. He convinced me to add tire coverage which I already had to use.... thank you. I only owned the car for 2 months and i had to replace a tire (due to horrible potholes). Service department was also professional and quick. I saved hundred$ because i had tire care package. She answered all our questions and was extremely friendly and helpful. We were the happiest with her call back so we decided to go to Montclair Acura. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when we arrrived. Collen set us up with Tony Karatzia. He was great. Very helpful, informative and no nonsense. He took us on a test drive and then he helped us put together a great deal. Throughout the whole process he was very patient (we asked a lot of questions numerous times). We never felt pressured or uneasy. We felt he was very upfront and honest. He put together a great deal for us and we are very very happy with our purchase. After we made our decision on the ILX we sat down with Benjamin. He also was very helpful to us and made the paper work as painless as possible. I purchased a Acura Certified 2014 RLX with Tech Package. The people I communicated with via phone and internet to the sales people in the showroom were fantastic. I'm a very senior finance risk person in Wall Street and I feel like I walked away with a great product for a great price! Barry Katz was a real pro and made sure all my answers/concerns were addressed. Benjamin, the sales manager, closed the deal with obtaining a great interest rate and some other addition services that I should consider which I did. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and the team that worked with to those interested in Acura automobiles! More

Costco Auto Program referred me to DCH Montclair Acura. A few minutes after I completed their request for a dealer I got a call from Colleen Amirr. I had been given 3 contact names and was thinking of callin few minutes after I completed their request for a dealer I got a call from Colleen Amirr. I had been given 3 contact names and was thinking of calling her since she was the only female on the list. Right away her friendly helpful manner put me at ease and made me eager to come in. She arranged an appointment and followed up later in the week to confirm. When I arrived she introduced me to Don Nardone, my salesperson. Don sat down with me to discuss what I was looking for and we decided to test drive the MDX and RDX. Pulling out of the lot I ran over a small curb and Don immediately put me at ease. We drove on various roadways and I in no way felt rushed to get the car back. We went out in the second car ( without hitting the curb) in a similar fashion. We returned to the dealership and all of my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction and I was given more details on the car that I was leaning toward and information on what I could expect from the service department. I was sent out to lunch as we waited for the business manager and to make my final decision. When I returned I completed paperwork with Don and Ben Klein. All during this process things were explained without rushing me or pressuring me. They made arrangements to close out my lease with another company, Don spoke with my insurance company to arrange coverage as my agent is not open on Saturdays. I returned to pick up my car a little later. I left, a happy customer, with the car I wanted, complete coverage of everything for $40 more than what my old lease cost. Benjamin Klein & his team were EXCELLENT. This is the way car buying should be in the 21st century. Breakdown of the process: 1. I conducted on-line research of what I wanted 2. Then put in an inquiry into 4 dealers that had what I wanted 4. Colleen (Ben’s Internet person got back to me immediately). She was kind, courteous and professional. 5. I told her what I wanted. She confirmed it was in inventory. Then put me in contact with Ben Klein the Sales Manager 6. Ben and I had a productive no nonsense conversation. He didn’t try to upsell, fast take me or anything. 7. We came to a mutually agreed upon price. 8. He asked for information to get the vehicle ready and get a head start on the paperwork 9. We went into the showroom the next day at noon to pick up the car, trade in our old vehicle and process paperwork. 10. Two hours later we are driving off in our brand new MDX. Ben and his team truly understand that time = money. They will not waste your time/money. I live in Westchester County NY and have 2 Acura dealers each ten mins from my house. I drove 1 hour (each way to this dealer) and would do it again in a heartbeat. I received internet quote that was so good that I didn't have to negotiate further. Dealer gave me enough time to think on the price quoted and has extended the quote beyond number of days initially offered have to negotiate further.
