I had a check engine light come on in a 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X with only 3200 miles on it. I took a day off from work to bring the vehicle in and have it serviced on 5/16. After about an hour of waiting at the dealership I was informed that the light was reset and that it "should not" come back on and if it did to "just bring it back". Otherwise I was told that the wiring connections were inspected and nothing was obviously wrong. Three days later the light came back on so I returned to Rainbow at the earliest time I could, on 5/26. When I arrived for my scheduled time I was told the mechanic would look at it in a few hours when he could. What is the point of setting up a time if there's nobody that can work on the vehicle at that time? At this point I was now on my 3rd iteration of the check engine line and under 3500 miles still. Twice it had reset itself and once it had been reset by the service department in the previous visit. Late in the day on 5/26 I was told that I needed a new fuel pump and tubing, that the parts would be ordered, and would take 3-5 days to receive. I was advised that I should come retrieve my truck. While doing so, I asked to make the appointment for service for late that week when the parts were in, but was told that I couldn't make an appointment until the parts were in, and that somebody would call me when they arrived. Eight days later, not having heard anything from the service department, I called to get an update. The first three attempts to call were disconnected before I was able to speak with somebody. Once I called the sales side of the building and asked to be directed to my service adviser I was finally able to speak with him. He put me on hold to check with the parts department and returned to say they were in stock, despite nobody notifying me like I had been told. He then asked when I wanted to schedule an appointment for. I requested 6/6 as my only personal availability during the week, since I was informed that the repairs cannot happen on a Saturday despite the service department being open. I was placed on hold again while he attempted to call the technician, but when he returned said the technician wasn't available and he'd need to speak to them before he could schedule me. The service advisor said he would call me back once he connected with the technician, but 20 hours later I still haven't heard anything. It is frustrating enough to have a check engine light come on in a brand new $74K vehicle. I bought a new truck so that it would be reliable, not so that I could make multiple trips to the dealership to have it fixed and to drive around with a check engine light on before my first oil change. It is a large enough disruption to have to move work and travel (for work) schedules around for multiple appointments, but more so when I I can't get answers from the dealership or book appointments. If it was not a warranty issue I certainly would not use or recommend the service department at Rainbow. More

I bought my first ram from this dealership and experience was great thats why I came back. there were things that were supposed to fixed on truck I explained very clearly to salesman I work alot so my free time is extremely limited. they had truck for a week. had arrangement with salesman to leave keys in truck so could pick it up at 7am after working all night. he didn't do that so had to wait till 9am then still had papper to do which i had asked about and was never given answers. so I only got 2 hours of sleep before having to go back to work. windsheild was replaced but I didn't have a inspection sticker and was never told about so had to cancel my doctor's appt.when I was talking to a manager explaining why i was angry about all the issues another manager came up and said heres 20 bucks its just an inspection sticker its no big deal completely missing the fact i had to cancel my plans in order to get it and they had the truck for s week never said anything.i had to get one because I was immediately leaving out of town after work. grill was never replaced. when I added wiper fluid because light came on immediately when I left dealership it all poured out of two holes in reservoir so I had to use jb weld to fix it. I had texted the salesman about it with no response. there are other issues I had. It seems I was told whatever it took to make the sale. I think they were dishonest about things and had zero understanding of how there decisions affect others who's work schedules are extremely busy leaving little free time. More
