Jackson Nettles, my Sales Consultant, was NOT a pushy salesman like is often encountered in car dealerships. In fact, he was very patient with me, working through various scenarios and helping me to mak salesman like is often encountered in car dealerships. In fact, he was very patient with me, working through various scenarios and helping me to make a decision that worked best for me. He, and Chris Andrews, one of the floor managers were top notch! Also, a big thumbs up to Craig who helped me with final negotiations on a day that Jackson was not working! More

As a lifelong Ford owner who has bought 7 vehicles through various Jim Hudson dealerships over the last 35 years, as well as all my service needs; after my last visit, I will never look back. The pro through various Jim Hudson dealerships over the last 35 years, as well as all my service needs; after my last visit, I will never look back. The professionalism of the staff members I spoke with are a profound embarrassment to the dealership. The first conversation I had with them started with..."we aren't bad people just because most consumers think we are always trying to get them". Originally, I had an appointment with a rep I had contacted through their website. However, he was “unavailable” when I arrived, even though I had asked him to contact me if there was any change to our meeting. During our only phone call, I made very specific expectations before our meeting, especially regarding the price I would pay for a new car, and the minimum I would expect for my trade, even providing him with my current vehicle’s VIN. I said that I would pay MSRP, but not anything extra, providing I got a fair price on my trade. Once I got to the dealership, I had 2 written offers of trade in value, one for $20300, the other for $21100. Upon arrival, I was immediately switched off to a rep who quickly led me to his office filled with many awards and certificates from 27+ years of working for Jim Hudson. Along the way he kept telling me how he would change my mind about the bad reputation car dealers get, and he was going to get me in my dream car as fast as possible. I simply acknowledged his attention, then reminded him of my previous conversation which outlined my expectations in specific detail. My first question was, “what is the bottom line price on that car?” I got no answer. I kept repeating, ultimately asking several times to confirm the price on the car. I referred back to the price on the website, which was confirmed during my conversation with the rep who had set my appointment. All I got was too much chatter about how much they had done to enhance the car and that the sticker price was just a starting point, and it didn’t include everything. In his words: the price actually comes down to the value of your trade, your credit score, your finance company, and how many people have expressed interest in the car. Then I need to combine that information with all the add ons that have been put on the car as an addendum to the MSRP. Then I was told that when you buy a car you have to expect that you will also have to cover the dealer's markup over the sticker price based on all the factors (mentioned earlier). WHAT? DO I REALLY LOOK THAT STUPID? Then when my trade in value came back at $7000+ lower than my already disclosed trade in values, I simply stood up and said, “I’m out”. $13000 for my car would only be reasonable if it were brought in on tow truck! Rep #2 who delivered that news quickly said, “wait, what do you have to have as a trade in value?” I answered with $19000 minimum, then I quickly rattled off all the reasons why my car was worth more than that, but I would accept the minimum of $19000. I simply demanded a fair market price which was $1300-2100 LOWER than what I had already been offered from 2 other dealers. Then I was told that the car would cost even more than their addendum sticker price because of all the stuff they had added to it, including the top dollar for my trade. So I asked, how much is the new car? But again, nobody would give me a specific $$$ amount, even though I kept asking. HUH? Is that how cars are sold now? Looking back, it is no wonder the sales rep kept warning me about how bad the industry's reputation was. He was just getting me ready to experience every ridiculous sales tactic in the book. He may have had 27 years of "great service to Jim Hudson" but my 27 minutes working with him and his co-worker have ensured that any Jim Hudson dealership will never see me again. More

The only improvement I can see is that one hour and 45 minutes seems to be overly long for an oil change and tire rotation. minutes seems to be overly long for an oil change and tire rotation. More

The gentleman who tended to me can handle my business from now on. He was stellar and most importantly, he was not offensive or condescending. Too many times at dealerships, I've had uncouth money-hung from now on. He was stellar and most importantly, he was not offensive or condescending.
