dishonest company. I purchased a Nissan Sentra on 5/15/2020. I left the dealership after 9pm and on my way home the malfunction light came on. The car was at 36,933 when I purchased it and the light came on at 36, 939. I have photos of the mileage when I purchased and a time stamped photo of when the light came on. I contacted them about it and was told to call the service department on Monday as I purchased it on a Friday and was told it was covered under the warranty. I was also told that I had a manufacturer warranty and that the car is certified preowned which was not true. They refuse to fix the situation. Over two months on the phone between Nissan corporate and Maus Nissan who promised they would fix it didn’t do anything. Nothing to rectify the situation. I was told multiple times I would receive a call back and not to worry about it they would fix it. I was literally told after two months of lies they cannot and refuse to do anything to help. I was given the run around by the manager Paul for months. I advised the last time I was recording the message. I have photos of the mileage when it went off and the original papers when I bought it. All of the phone records and text messages and the recorded message as well. I asked him how this is acceptable business when clearly this issue was on their end and they lied multiple times to me (witnesses were present during this as well). The person who sold me the car lied about the certification and the warranty and I was told it’s a play on words and he probably didn’t realize what he said. They did not offer to fix this, to fix at cost or to even discount and it costs $1,800. I was given the complete run around the entire time and lied to by them so many times that I made sure to keep evidence of it all.
I spoke with several mechanics who advised that there is a way for them to pull a sensor on the car to prevent the light from going off when I was looking at it and test driving it.
Please do not buy from them. I wish I did my research. Go look at the BBB page and see how many people they have screwed over. They lie on their website with pricing as well as car details. The car was listed at $13,000 with a sunroof. There was no sunroof and when I went in they said it was over $15,000 because of tax, tag, title and dealer fee even though those weren’t included in the $15,000. They also make you get Maus care and you can’t opt out even if you want to. Maus care covers 3 oil changes a year and services that would cost less then $100 a year. They charge over $1,000 for it. I will definitely never be back there and I will be telling everyone not to buy from them. Please go somewhere else.

Brittany, I apologize if you've felt strung along, but that was not our intention. We have been working with Nissan to try and get a Good Will extension of your warranty in order to resolve your concerns. I have called you recently, and left a message, and we would like to invite you back in with the vehicle so our techs can get an updated diagnosis and estimate to Nissan, in order to see what can be done for you. No one did anything to your sensor in order to delay it from going off until after you left the dealership, unfortunately it is just nearly impossible to predict when an electronic component, such as battery or a sensor, will go bad. Again, same response as Paul told me and yet no call and nothing being done. This is the same response I’m always given. Paul would say he is going to call me tomorrow at noon and then he never did. I would have to call and follow up and he did this every few weeks. He even gave me his cell number to text and then he would just ignore the responses. This is what the company does. They don’t care about you, your money or your time. Please don’t fall for it and this response like they actually care because I’ve been dealing with this over three months and nothing has been resolved. They do this every time and I’ve been dealing with this issue since May 15, 2020 and it’s August 29th and still nothing over 3 months later. I will be contacting the office of consumer affairs, the BBB, office of the general inspector and better call Behnken. I’m lot going to stop until YOUR mistake gets fixed.
I’m going to take screenshots of the phone records and times I had to call them, detail every single conversation and the lies I was told, all of the unreturned messages and texts to all parties and the witness that I had present for every conversation as well as the conversation that was recorded and Paul was notified about. I also have the screenshots of what the original mileage was at and a date and time stamped photo of when the malfunction light came up. You guys want to pay and fix this or what? Step up and own up to your mistake. You sold a car with a known malfunction that you pulled a sensor on and when I explained very nicely about this issue you got an attitude with me thought you could assert yourself over me and try and bully me and when that didn’t work then you lied and stopped returning calls and messages. That’s why I documented and had a witness for every conversation and recorded the conversation where I couldn’t. I have all of the evidence to back this up including two different mechanics who explained the light to me and that your company pulled the sensor so it wouldn’t go off until I left.

vehicle and drove away in minutes. Aldo was fantastic, Leo was terrific, and Christian was phenomenal. You will love it.
