Lots of things to fix when I get it home I found this truck on CarGurus and fell in love instantly. I’ve always loved the Sierra and this one had the dark headlights, black wheels, sunroof, a I found this truck on CarGurus and fell in love instantly. I’ve always loved the Sierra and this one had the dark headlights, black wheels, sunroof, and lots of other bells and whistles that just locked the choice in for me. My wife and I are planning for a family, and my little Ford Ranger didn’t have enough room in the backseat to fit a car seat, so we needed a crew cab. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. Leather seats, wood grain trim, DVD player in the back, purrs like a kitten from the flowmaster exhaust - you get the idea. This thing is awesome! It becomes a little less awesome when I realize how much I’m going to have to shell out to get this thing in optimum condition though. You would think that if you buy a used car from a dealer that they would fix all of the known issues from the “170 point inspection”. After all, what good is an inspection if you don’t do anything about your findings? When we test drove the truck, there were warning lights to service the air bag and tire monitoring system. Silly me forgot to test the cruise control on the test drive, so I asked if they checked it when we got back, and sure enough I was assured that they do check them. They might check them, but if it doesn’t work they don’t do anything about it. I found out on my 2 hour drive home on the highway that the cruise control actually doesn’t work. Visibly inspecting the body at the dealer, there are a couple medium sized areas of rust, and the tires on the right side are both peeling rubber all around the wheel exposing the sidewalk under the rubber. The left side is fine, so whoever owned it before probably parked along a curb and ran the tires down the curb every time. Whatever the case, I feel like the dealer should have replaced those tires, this is a serious and life threatening issue to have a customer drive away with. Lastly, the parking assist sensors in the back don’t work. One sensor is missing completely and the other just hangs off the back of the truck and won’t stay in it’s little socket which looks pretty tacky. Still would have been a cheap easy fix for the dealer. Now I am stuck making the following repairs on my own: 1) cruise control 2) air bag 3) tire pressure monitoring system 4) rust on body 5) parking assist 6) 2 new tires. That’s just what I know of so far. I am, however, pleased with the trade value I got on my ford ranger. Only $1000 under average trade in value on NADA! Other dealers wouldn’t give me more than $2500 under NADA value, so I’m very happy with that. I am also happy with Curt. He was a nice guy and we had a good time making a deal with him. Although I will say that I would have felt my time was more respected if he came back with the payment I wanted the first time instead of going back and forth 3 times to finally get it down where I said I wanted it. But I think that’s more of the finance departments issue, and not Curt’s. All in all, I am content with my experience, but my “average” review reflects on the dealerships ability to correct the little things that would have made a big difference in my experience with this truck. I would have rather drove it home with no “to-do” items to get it in the excellent condition it should have been when I drove it off the lot. More

Used cars needing repair! UPDATE: So our sales person called about the review we left and wanted it changed. He asked us to bring the car back in and they would make it right! So I sent him a message asking to set it up, we'll never received a call back until few weeks later. He left another message again stating they wanted to make it right! So we called right back left two messages with no returned call. So at this point we were not getting anywhere with Corwin so we took the car to a independent car repair shop and $300.00 later no longer has the snap crackle pop in the front end. Now for the the seat repair another $400.0 to $500.00 out of my pocket! Same on Corwin for allowing a car to be sold on their lot that needed repairs right out the gate! With their poor costumer service and selling cars in need of repair we will no longer buy from them ever! Thanks Corwin Ford for all of your support! Makes us never want to come back!!! Bought used car, yes I understand it was used. We were under the impression the cars are gone through. Had issues right out the gate. Some safety. Drivers electric seat moves forward and will not go back! So when calling sales person he returned call stating his tech recommended putting both feet on the floor pushing against floor and button at the same time. Well that's some high tech stuff but unfortunately unsuccessful. Called sales person again stating that did not work! He was going to talk with his tech again and call back, well guess what no call back. Upon driving the car there is a clunking noise under the car when going over bumps or uneven ground. It's scares me to call them in fear of what they would have me do to take car of that problem. So we will have to the car take to a more reliable repair shop. The sad part is I don't believe the even touched the car other then a wash job to make it look good! So lesson learned. More
