I purchased a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD from Classic Chevrolet Buick GMC of Cleburne. Within only two to three days of the purchase, the truck developed a major issue.. Classic’s own service dep Classic Chevrolet Buick GMC of Cleburne. Within only two to three days of the purchase, the truck developed a major issue.. Classic’s own service department diagnosed the issue and quoted me $727.87 to repair it. When I purchased the truck, my salesperson specifically told me that if a significant problem arose within roughly the first two weeks, the dealership would take care of it because they would not want to damage their reputation. Well, a significant problem did appear - within two to three days - and Classic Chevrolet chose not to honor their assurance. I escalated the matter to senior management and gave the dealership every opportunity to make this right. Instead, they just ignored me. That leaves me with a very simple conclusion: I was told one thing while they were selling me the truck and told something entirely different once they had my money. Call that a broken promise, a false assurance, or a lie—the result for the customer is the same. For me, this is not about the money. It is about trust. If a dealership tells you it will stand behind a vehicle if a significant problem appears almost immediately after purchase, you should be able to rely on that statement. Buyer beware. More
