Selling wrecked autos, they used autocheck instead of carfax Toothman for sold me a wrecked Nissan Frontier. (13k miles at purchase) I didn’t find this out until I attemeped to trade it for something bigger, Toothman for sold me a wrecked Nissan Frontier. (13k miles at purchase) I didn’t find this out until I attemeped to trade it for something bigger, it came up on Carfax that it had been wrecked and restored. I had it ran on both Carfax and Autocheck. Autocheck shows it’s clean, and CarFax shows its been wrecked and restored. Makes me wonder how they keep the prices so low at toothman ford. If it because they buy wrecked vehicles and don’t disclose it? I contacted toothman for about this because I feel that I’ve been ripped off. I wanted them to at least give me low trade for the truck since they sold me the wrecked vehicle, they came close @ 17k (trade in without wreck books for 17,700$) and offered me a decent truck similar to the one I was going to trade for at another dealership (in another state). I told them if they would add the 500$ remote start and to make up for what I’m losing in trade in price I would do it, even though the one I Originally wanted had many more options for the same 31k price tag and similar mileage. All that I want from them is to right a wrong. I didn’t think that my terms were outrageous. So I was sold and overpriced wrecked vehicle and then had to take a loss for it at trade in because it was wrecked. So as far as I’m concerned toothman for owes me approximately 5,000$ in lost equity! I will be sending this letter to every media source I can so no one else is ripped off. If you do choose to buy from them remember to have them run both carfax and autocheck! I hope this helps someone, Shane Reed More
