I live in Massachusetts and spent a significant amount of time trying to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I initially worked with a salesperson, but suddenly learned that he had been fired. After that, the entire process became even more confusing and frustrating. I was sent multiple versions of purchase and sales agreements that appeared inaccurate or misleading to me. It felt as though the dealership was creating excuses because they did not really want to sell me the vehicle in the first place. I already had financing approved through my own credit union, but the dealership would not provide the proper documentation my credit union needed. Instead, I felt that they were misleading me and pressuring me to finance through the dealership. I was also told that the title would be sent to my credit union to secure the financing. I later discovered that the dealership apparently did not have the title to the vehicle at that time. This caused additional confusion and made me question the honesty and transparency of the entire transaction. Because I was purchasing the vehicle from out of state, I paid out of pocket for a pre-purchase inspection at a Lexus dealership. Ted Britt Chevrolet gave me a hard time about arranging the inspection, even though it was reasonable for me to have the vehicle checked before traveling from Massachusetts. The Lexus inspection found problems with the headlights and the driver’s seat heating and cooling ventilation fan motor. Despite these issues and the repair costs involved, the dealership was unwilling to offer a reasonable discount on the vehicle. There were also unexpected fees that were not clearly explained to me beforehand. The final straw was the general manager, who was extremely rude and told me that I should find another car. After all the time, effort, money, financing arrangements, and inspection costs I invested, I found the general manager’s response completely unprofessional and disrespectful. This was a terrible experience from beginning to end. Based on my experience, I would STAY AWAY FROM TED BRIT CHEVROLET. Anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership—especially an out-of-state buyer—should get every detail in writing, carefully review every document, independently verify the title, and obtain a pre-purchase inspection before paying anything. Also don't let them bully you into financing with them More
