Bought a Kia Sorrento from this dealer. They lied to me about the interest rate 8%, and then told me after I had given them 20k down on the car. MY MISTAKE. But they assured me because of They lied to me about the interest rate 8%, and then told me after I had given them 20k down on the car. MY MISTAKE. But they assured me because of my good credit would get me a good int. rate. LOL. Then because it was hybrid, they said they had a plug in, but it costs $2500. I said I'll take it. They never ordered it, and checked with them after 2 weeks, nothing. So I ordered it off Amazon for $450. Nice markup for them!! Then the hatchback, wouldn't go up ( I'm 6.0ft) so my head wouldn't clear under it. Took it back to them and they said, sorry. they's the way it is. Took it to Mckinney, and they showed me how to adjust it. All that was in fall of 2022. In 2026 after their new bldging was built I went to the drive in to check on an oil change. Sat there for 10 min. Finally got out of the car, went thru the sliding doors, and asked in a polite way if, any body worked here, as I noticed all the service advisors sitting behind their computer screens. A black woman said, all of our customers come in, if they want service. I said "stick it" and went around the front and asks for the mgr. He invited me back to his office and we had a "real nice conversation" Told him his service stunk!! Then just recently Sept. 2026 they sent me a flyer telling me they would "really work with me on a NEW Sorrento- So I called, got a salesman, told him it was my wife's car, it was a 2022 with 25,000 miles, it still smelled new, no nicks, in perfect condition, what could they do for a new one( our credit score is very high) I owe 20k on the car, and the flier said they would give us up to $32620. The salesman and I talked for about 10 min, he said he would call back, never did. The sales mgr called and I gave him a piece of my mind. I wouldn't trust these guys AT ALL!! PS I have been in marketing, sales and manuf. for over 40 years. So all of these little tricks and snippets their pulling I've seen before. More

I have purchased many cars in my life and this by far was the worst experience in my life. During negotiations they would come back with a number and of course I would try to negotiate it down. Then they wou the worst experience in my life. During negotiations they would come back with a number and of course I would try to negotiate it down. Then they would come back and the number would be higher! They rolled in a service charge from existing car into the loan without even discussing this with me. They operate under what I believe are shady and deceptive practices, even for a car dealership who always try to squeeze every last dollar from you any way, this was on another level. Salesperson ignores my text, wont return phone calls. Gonna have to assume because he knows I am calling him out and holding this dealership accountable. I hope not all Clay Cooley dealerships allow their teams to operate this way, but I would stay clear of the KIA one in Plano. More
