False Advertising I purchased a 2016 GTI in part because Strong advertised that they fix chips in the windshield for free. The salesperson noted this benefit multiple I purchased a 2016 GTI in part because Strong advertised that they fix chips in the windshield for free. The salesperson noted this benefit multiple times during the purchasing process. It was advertised all over the place on their website. So I have a chip on my windshield. I called to schedule an appointment. They said I needed to be a "VIP" customer. What's that, I asked? They said I needed some card that they supposedly gave me during the sales process. I never received such a card nor was I told there was even a VIP program necessary to get my windshield repaired. They said they no longer offer that service. When I called my salesperson, he said that I needed a card. Don't they have me in the system, I asked? He said, "No." Bait and switch. Pure and simple. Just dishonest marketing and service that make people cynical about the car purchasing process. So beware. They offer a "lifetime guarantee." Just make sure you know that you probably are getting sold a bill of goods. David was great during the initial sale of the vehicle. But it turns out, I was lied to and they will not fulfill their very well advertised promise. More
