

Hello, I have been apart of the Patriot Subaru family since July of 2006. I moved up to Maine from just outside of Hartford, CT to be closer to my beautiful daughter Kelaya. I brought with me to the State my cat Hailey and dog Orion and have since rescued another dog named Cassiopeia from the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook. I now currently live in Saco where I was able to purchase my first house and have a nice big yard to let the dogs run in. I drive a 2013 WRX that I absolutely love and is my favorite of 5 previous Subaru's. All my friends and family drive Subaru's, with the Patriot Eagle on the back of cars from Texas, Colorado, Alaska, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. There is no distance too great for family and friends to travel to know they are getting treated better than the best. My daughter will be 13 this year and it is always interesting talking with customers in the finance office about experiences with pre-teen girls as a single dad!

Not only is this the best Subaru dealership in the North East, but it's the best dealership I have ever dealt with. Highest trade-in values, phenomenal discounts on a new car and their service department is East, but it's the best dealership I have ever dealt with. Sara's dedication, professionalism, and expertise made this entire car buying process easy and stress-free. She and Cullen provided us with all of the necessary information, answered all questions, and gave us detailed explanations on the car's features and functionalities with great patience. During the test drive, Sara shared her knowledge and made helpful recommendations, which enabled us to make an informed decision that met our needs and preferences. Moreover, her exceptional customer service skills did not just stop there but continued even after the sale was made. She has been following up to see how the vehicle is performing and whether there were any issues or concerns that we needed help with, which demonstrates Patriot Subaru's commitment to customer satisfaction. Patriot was completely unprepared when I came in to pick up my new car. We were just adding a car-- no trade, just buying a car. The first thing they asked me was "where is your trade?" I ordered the car up my new car. We were just adding a car-- no trade, just buying a car. The first thing they asked me was "where is your trade?" I ordered the car with a 2" hitch. Subaru does not sell a 2" OEM hitch for the Forester. David Shoemaker, the Sales Manager, did not know this. So, he ordered the car with the wrong hitch. When the car came in and I discovered the hitch did not fit, his service guys said to hit the hitch with a hammer until the 1.25" receiver popped out. The only problem with that? It was welded to the outer housing. No way was it coming off. Ultimately, they took the hitch off and put the right one one. 6 hours of my time (round trip) and they want accolades for "fixing the problem." Now for the funniest part-- The day before we were supposed to pick up our car, Shoemaker emails me and says he "forgot he was on vacation" and that he would not be there when I picked up my car. Then, later on, he tells me he was NOT on vacation-- that he just didn't come in that day. One of those statements has to be a lie. Do I know which one is? Nope. Doesn't matter. The problem is a lack of honesty, though. The deal was so screwed up, I asked to be taken off of their email distribution list shortly after we took delivery of he car. Next problem? Shoemaker e-mails me personally... again. And when I review some of my concerns about what happened a year ago, he responds by saying "I should have let you buy your car from a local dealer." Seriously? This guy is so arrogant that he thinks he directs what people buy and when they buy it? The funniest part, though, is that he was stupid enough to put this IN WRITING, to me. Keep in mind, this is the behavior of the SALES MANAGER of Patriot Subaru. If he acts like this, how do you expect his sales reps are going to act? Don't say I didn't warn you about these guys. Don't buy a car from Patriot Subaru. More

I've bought my first Subaru from Patriot a few years ago. I ended up there after being disappointed by other dealerships. I would tell them my budget and they would just tell me they didn't have anything or I ended up there after being disappointed by other dealerships. I would tell them my budget and they would just tell me they didn't have anything or didn't want to waste their time. When I arrived at Patriot I was greeted by Corey who told understood my budget and had a few cars for me to look at. I ended up with a 2010 forester that fit my needs at the time. The buying process was overwhelming but I was walked through it and they understood that this was a huge purchase for me. Even though I was not buying the most expensive car on the lot I was still treated extremely well. The whole process was easy. Throughout the life of the Forrester, I had all the major services and repairs done at Patriot. The Service department was extremely helpful and compassionate. If there was ever a problem that arose you could tell they understood the gravity of the situation. One time they even covered a repair because they missed it while doing another repair. I would recommend the service department to anyone who owns a Subaru. Fast forward to now and my Forester's engine seized about a month before the holidays. I had it towed to Patriot and worked with Stefanie. She was very nice and when she told me that the engine was seized I could tell she really cared. She gave me a few options and when I expressed I would just try to buy something else she understood fully and offered to talk to the sales department on my behalf to see if they would give me anything for the blown Forester. That evening Corey called me on his day off to check in and see what I was thinking as far as a new vehicle goes. I told him I really needed a truck and told him it looks like they had one I was interested in. When I got to the dealership the next day the truck was all set for a test drive as soon as I arrived there was no waiting around. I liked the truck and all of a sudden was in the buying process. Patriot actually graciously gave me a small trade in value for the blown Forester which really helped. Knowing this was a sudden thing they even gave me time to get a down payment together. After doing all the paperwork and getting things squared away Corey helped me clean out my old Forester even though at this point it was nearing closing time. That's not to say this was exactly the best experience, A couple of things happened that really turned me off. I was extremely happy with the truck as it was exactly what I needed. I won't get into specifics but I ended up being pretty frustrated once was all said and done. Paperwork issues, bank issues, ect all add up. I expressed my frustrations to Dave the Sales manager in an email. I went into detail about what happened and why I was frustrated. He responded within five-ten minutes. I fully expected him to brush it off and go on defense with a short email. However; he wrote a very thoughtful understanding email back. I was blown away. He offered solutions that went above and beyond anything I could have expected a business to do. He even told me to give him a call when I could. He took the time out of what I assume is a busy day to help and make a situation right that he really could have just brushed off. It meant a lot to me as someone who also works in sales. The level of service that he went to is something rarely seen these days in business. He greatly changed my whole outlook on the experience and made things right. I would gladly do business with Patriot in the future and would recommend their team to anyone. Mistakes happen but its how a business handles them that matters more than anything. These guys did an amazing job making sure things were right. More

Over the past twenty plus years my wife and I have bought six Subaru autos from Corey Creteau. When we first met we could sense that Corey was someone we could trust and know that we were getting the best d six Subaru autos from Corey Creteau. When we first met we could sense that Corey was someone we could trust and know that we were getting the best deal possible. Corey has continued to give us sound advice on our car needs and has often checked in with us over the years on how we were doing with our cars. He is right on top of things and suggests advantages and otherwise on all aspects of when and why a certain model best suits our needs. When we moved to New Hampshire over a year ago we recently reached out to him on advice regarding extending our warranty on our 2018 Outback. He made good suggestions to us and also raised the idea of our getting a 2021 outback from Patriot. He then worked things out for us and even delivered a new Outback to us in Keene, NH. He is always most helpful and we greatly appreciate all the things that he has done for us over the years. We would also like to go on the record on how much we have appreciated many of the staff and the service department at Patriot. David Shoemaker has also been superb in assisting us in several key areas with our car purchases. Finally, we have often mentioned to our friends about how professional and helpful Corey is and they have found him to be super to work with.
