Normally a very concise and efficient process, I set up an appointment on line and arrived on time. It was then about 30 mins before a rep told me it would be another hour before a technician could assess an appointment on line and arrived on time. It was then about 30 mins before a rep told me it would be another hour before a technician could assess the reason I brought the car in which was the engine light. Once they realized that would take time, they set up a loaner car which was great, but it took another 30 mins after signing paperwork and two other people ahead of me for the rep to just hand me keys to a car that was sitting there. Once the assessment was finally done, it was an awkward conversation about all that was wrong with the car. I had to call to find out what was wrong and was told to watch a video and then call back. Finally, once aligned on the work to be done and once I came back to pick up the car, someone else processed me out. Perhaps the rep I worked with in the past Kristen MacNeil set a high standard, but this was a less than stellar appointment. Given the age of my car and the very expensive factory parts; after years of having every appointment through the dealership, I’m considering other sources for appointments going forward. Brand new cars make sense and I would recommend to anyone to go through a dealer regardless, but not sure it’s necessary for a car that is 10 years old. It’s a solid car and great brand; it’s paid off and the last thing you want is death by 1000 cuts with very expensive service appointments every time you bring it in. Especially when the car can be fixed or older parts exchanged at much more reasonable prices than factory parts. It’s hard to stomach a $900 tail light that is out. More
