K&N filters do present a unique challenge during inspections — unlike conventional filters, they don't allow light to pass through even when new, which makes a standard visual inspection difficult. Our technician marked it yellow as a precaution, not as a recommendation to replace it. That said, we recognize the note caused confusion and we're sorry for that.
