I recently purchased a new car from Motor World through financing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and generally pleasant to work with, but unfortunately the overall purchasing process was much more fr financing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and generally pleasant to work with, but unfortunately the overall purchasing process was much more frustrating and disorganized than I expected. I arrived around 2:30 PM and spent roughly three hours at the dealership. At around 4:30 PM, I specifically explained that I needed to leave within about an hour and that I had driven nearly an hour each way to get there. Despite this, the process was not moved along, and I ultimately had to stop in the middle of the purchase and return on a second day. This meant making the same two-hour round trip twice, even though I had clearly explained my time constraints. During the long initial wait, I also was not offered water or anything to eat until after I had decided to purchase the vehicle and had already signed some of the paperwork. There were also several issues during the financing process that I had to catch myself. My first payment was supposed to begin after 90 days, but this was initially missed. The monthly payment was also supposed to be around $600, and that required correction as well. For a major purchase, having to repeatedly identify these details myself made the process feel less organized than it should have been. I was also disappointed that I could not test-drive the actual vehicle I was purchasing. I was only able to test-drive another vehicle of the same model and was told that it was essentially the same. I was also told that several things could potentially be included with the vehicle, but in the end I did not even receive a second key or any meaningful extras. Again, I want to be fair and say that the staff were friendly and treated me warmly throughout the process. My criticism is mainly about the organization and execution of the sale. A new-car purchase should not require this much waiting, a second trip because of delays, multiple corrections to financing details, and purchasing a specific vehicle without being able to test-drive it first. I hope the dealership can improve these parts of the experience for future customers. More
