We were very impressed from the start with Derrick’s warm greeting, his professional demeanor and his integrity throughout the process. Purchasing a new or used vehicle can be a very trying and, often times, an unpleasant experience, however Derrick’s sincerity and character were extremely appreciated, and we have to say, it was the primary reason that we purchased the automobile as we had several other good options. Again we wanted to recognize the manner in which Derrick conducted himself and to thank Wallingford Auto Park for creating a culture of service excellence in its business. Great cars, great sales team, great experience This was my first time buying a car on my own and I had a lot of anxiety about the process. I came to Wallingford Auto Park based on a recommendation This was my first time buying a car on my own and I had a lot of anxiety about the process. I came to Wallingford Auto Park based on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. I looked online at their inventory before going and new what I wanted to look at. When I first got there I walked around the lot, found the vehicle and was met outside by Derrick. He was super helpful, offered advice and expressed concern for the same things that I did. I was looking for a reliable vehicle that I could have for 5+ years with low mileage, great fuel economy and in my price range. He let me test drive 2 different vehicles (on my own without him or anyone else from the dealership) so I could feel more comfortable. He even stayed after closing that day to ensure that I was getting the right car for me. He revealed every little problem with the cars I was looking at from certain error codes, to body dents they couldn't get out, to severe frame damage reported on carfax. The final car he ended up showing me was a Mazda 3 sedan from the back lot that hadn't even been put up on their website yet and I loved it. Clean carfax, in decent condition inside and out, and small and sporty. The car is a 2011 so there are some paint chips here and there but it has been running great and I haven't had any problems with it in the couple weeks I've had it so far. The nice gentleman in finance hooked me up with a great warranty that I opted for which put me at ease as well. The only negatives I have is that they did the VIN etching without asking me if I wanted it or not so I had to pay for that even though I originally did not want it and the guys in the shop covered the paint chips with touch up silver paint (my car is a little darker metallic gray) which does not match the color of the car and now looks pretty silly. Aside from that, I had a great experience with Derrick at Wallingford Auto Park and will suggest this dealership to friends. Everyone there was very honest, answered all my questions, and seemed to really care about getting me into the right car. Not pushy at all which I really appreciated seeing as this was my first car buying experience. Thank you to Derrick and the rest of the team at Wallingford Auto Park! More
