Recently worked with Devin Clark on the purchase of a used Toyota. After he insisted that we carry out all communications via text (a bit odd), I told him I was interested in buying a particular vehicle used Toyota. Devin was slow to respond, but we reached the point of negotiating my trade value. After I sent him pictures and VIN he simply never responded. This was around 3 in the afternoon and we had been working through negotiations for several hours at this point (slowly, as again, Devin rarely responded in a timely manner to any text). The next morning I contacted Devin and asked where we were in the negotiations, as I hadn't heard from him. He told me the vehicle that I had been TRYING to buy the entire previous day (after securing financing and telling him clearly that I wanted to buy it) had been sold at some point after the last time I heard from him. He then pivoted to trying to sell me a new vehicle without so much as batting an eye. He clearly put zero effort into making the sale from a committed buyer and was distracted and didn't communicate to anyone that we were actively negotiating the purchase before he completely bailed and disappeared without any notice. When I complained that he had sold the vehicle out from under me he gave me a snarky remark that "I didn't PERSONALLY sell the vehicle out from under you...we have a team of over 20 salespeople.." The fact that he 1) didn't recognize his own incompetence and 2) thought I'd still do business with this dealership after this...is nothing short of mind boggling. Who hired this guy? More

Everyone we dealt with at this dealership was very professional and courteous. We had dealings with 5 different people during the buying process. Fred Anderson is totally transparent with no hidden agenda.I would recommend this process to anyone in the market for a new car, and I highly recommend Fred Anderson of Charleston. I also very much enjoyed working with Antwoine Taylor as my sales rep once my husband and I arrived at the dealership. He was "on top of it" from the start and continued a well executed sales process. Furthermore, Bill Utnick was upfront and clear with the actual purchase of the car. He professionally prepared all the paperwork and never once tried to change the terms and conditions that Devin had agreed to earlier in the day. Bottom line, I feel that Fred Anderson is fair and honest. I will be purchasing more cars from the dealership and will send my friends and family there. More
