They did everything possible to get us the car we wanted at the best price. They didn't play the usual car buying games so we came back for a second car two weeks later. The second purchase experience was as great as the first. More

Get More Hybrids! This dealer has not paid off my bank the trade in even though they cashed the check 2 weeks ago. They also misdirected the check from the bank. Also, they gave me less than KBB value on the trade and are now selling it for $6800. I hope they take care of the bank in the next 2 days. I came to this dealer via a Costco Auto program, ready to buy a Hybrid Sonata. I ended up buying it off the truck a week later, but only by a hair's breadth of buying a Lexus CT 200 Hybrid. I'm a Hyundai driver since 2009. I didn't need educating. I knew what I wanted, I had the financing, and I was ready to drive away in my new Hybrid. A salesman's dream, right? I don't fault the dealer for not having the hybrids-they are very slim pickings by any auto maker in this area of DC-but Hyundai is known for creating market demand. More

He was very friendly and acted just as excited as I was for my first car purchase. I think it is extremely important to be excited and enthusiastic when someone is purchasing their first car. I am spending a lot of money and it was a big day for me and my family and we appreciated Don recognizing this and making the experience fun and enjoyable. This would have made my experience 10/10 until we met with a woman in financing who did not offer the same customer service level and came off as rude and seemed annoyed when my father would ask questions regarding the financial situation and how much I would be paying each month. As a concerned father he just wanted to make sure that I would be able to make the high monthly payments and what our options were regarding that. She sat leaned back far in her chair so that her entire arm was straightened and reaching for the keyboard to type in different numbers when my dad asked questions. A simple explanation for options and how much it would save me per month would have been appreciated instead of having an attitude and saying "you may save like 20 bucks if thats important to you". This made my family feel uncomfortable in this purchase and my dad was really pushing me to leave and go to Toyota where I would get 0% rate for a similar car. As a recent graduate, "20 bucks" is very important to me and saving anywhere I can is helpful. It would have been nice to have someone who was more understanding and didn't make me and my dad feel unwelcome or stupid for asking these questions. I believe my dad spoke with someone else in finances about this woman and he was very understanding of the situation and helped my dad agree to make the purchase. I am also in retail sales and know how important it is to make the experience worth while even if you can't help me reach my financial goals, doing what you can to answer the questions is not a hard task and would have made this experience much more enjoyable. More

We used to live closer to the dealership but have since moved to a neighboring county, but we still return to see Don Barker when we need a new car. We are very pleased with the cars, with the deals and with the service. I highly recommend Fairfax Hyundai and I even took some of Don's business cards to give to friends. More
