Fair price, attentive salesmen This is my first visit and interaction with this dealership, having come to Charleston after buying many cars are at an auto dealership in Iowa. I introduced myself to the sales manager {Robert Lukens} who was very attentive and subsequently introduced me to Matthew Lawrence who was my primary contact at the dealership. After explaining my requirements Matt looked and found what proved to be an ideal purchase for me, a 2015 Avalon. Although he could have easily tried to talk me into a newer model thus getting a better commission for himself, in fact he showed me why this particular car at a significantly reduced price would serve my needs better. The deal was negotiated extremely fairly, and Matt was extremely helpful in facilitating my requirements along with the reasonable needs of the dealership to make a profit. After the deal was made, Matthew was extremely helpful in showing me all the details of my newer car, and even after the sale I was able to contact him repeatedly to help me work through some of the technical details of the car. When he found out that there would be an upgrade to my navigation system coming in a few months he volunteered to have this updated for me at no extra charge. I have no hesitation in recommending Fred Anderson Toyota as a dealership and Matthew Lawrence as a terrific sales person within this dealership. More

A very good experience I had a very good experience buying my new Highlander. I felt that I was treated fairly and was given a good price. What I did not like was that aft I had a very good experience buying my new Highlander. I felt that I was treated fairly and was given a good price. What I did not like was that after I made the deal I went to finance where I went through an extensive warranty pitch that could have added another $2,000 plus to the vehicle! There were so many variations it became too confusing I finally just said the heck with it and opted for a five year 60,000 because it was a concept I was familiar with. I'm not blaming the guy in finance I just think that between the Fred Anderson plan and the Toyota warranty program it makes your head spin especially after the stress of buying a car and hoping that you made the best deal. One other thing. There are so many gadgets and settings etc to be done on these new cars I think it would be nice if they had a small training class generally explaining basics like the audio, the different controls rather than sitting in your driveway for two days figuring everything out. I found a lot of good input by going on you tube. The salesmen should probably know more about how these things work too they seem like they're guessing most of the time too. Maybe y'all should create a Toyota hotline for new owners--kinda like the Turkey hotline they have at Thanksgiving LOL! More

He never made us feel like we were wasting his time even though he knew we were from NC and it was 7:30 pm on a Friday night. John found a vehicle that had just arrived and took the information for our trade. Don Hesher valued our trade and was very transparent concerning the value of our trade and the discount offered on the new vehicle. John and Don stayed until 9:30 pm to put this deal together. We came back the next day after the service department added window tint and running boards to wrap up the paper work. Christen was very efficient and a joy to work with. Great overall experience. Will definitely do business with them in the future. More
