Experience was ok. Everyone was super helpful nice but I expect that when I’m holding a check for 69k. I took stars off because We chose to finance through our credit union. We brought a check for full amount and made it clear that we were not interested in their financing. Ruben gave us a paper credit application, we said no, not interested . He said it’s the law “patriot act” blah blah. We asked to speak to Ed. Ed came over and said it’s just a formality for legal reasons and that they wouldn’t be running or touch our credit. He said it multiple times through grinning teeth. My husband texted me while we were sitting there and said “make sure my credit is locked”. I went to transunion, equifax, and experian and locked his credit. Then he signed. Ruben really drove it home that they wouldn’t NOT even touch our credit. Lies. When we got home, we got an email from transunion saying that Hawk Nissan tried to run our credit but couldn’t because it was locked. I was furious because I despise liars, especially greasy ones. My husband called them Monday and spoke to Ed and Ed acted like he had no idea what we were talking about. “Oh I told you we were running your credit”. Sir you most certainly said the opposite. That irritated me because he was the one who looked at us with an open face and said “we won’t be touching your credit at all, the form of a just a formality”. Thankfully we don’t play about people messing with our credit so it stays locked until we need to use it. Not a big deal for some but For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend Hawk Nissan to anyone because I detest dishonesty. Sucks because we actually have 4 family members (including our daughter) who are in the market for new cars. I told them all, go elsewhere. Just be honest next time🤷🏽♀️
